Re: Fulham v Everton
I'm just explaining his reasoning. Also he prepares for other team's threats. He probably thinks JOB will do a better job of dealing with Kevin than Patterson will.Audrey Horne wrote: ↑Sat Feb 07, 2026 2:14 pm I know you love Moyes like but my god it's hard fucking work.
People only talk about what Patterson offers with the ball, but 50% of the game is without the ball.
I think when we sign a RB he trusts offensively and defensively, JOB wont play there anymore.

There you go @TheRam , think this will have helped you decide which option to choose today!

Re: Fulham v Everton
I think it’s keep it tight and hope to nick a goal from a set piece with as many big lads on the pitch as possible.Audrey Horne wrote: ↑Sat Feb 07, 2026 2:04 pm What do we think the reasons are here?
Moyes is a premier league manager. He's been doing this for a long long time.
Why do we see the JOB can't play RB. That Patterson has done a decent enough job in the position he plays, adding the obvious positive of having a player who knows his position etc
Why can we see that but Moyes can't or won't?
I don't understand why he thinks that defense is ok to play?
Pretty disappointing two weeks in a row like this with a near enough full squad to pick from.
Re: Fulham v Everton
I know this won't be the case, but you could play a 3-4--2-1 with that personnel.

Garner--------------Armstrong-----Gana--------------Myko

If it were Branthwaite not Keane in that team sheet I might have actually let myself believe, but obviously it ain't gonna be that.

Off the ball he is worse though? He drifts inside because that's his position as a CB!Bluedylan1 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 07, 2026 2:20 pm I'm just explaining his reasoning. Also he prepares for other team's threats. He probably thinks JOB will do a better job of dealing with Kevin than Patterson will.

Anyway nothing to be done. Just hoping he plays well.

Think we’ll win this.
Fulham are rubbish, and we’ve got the away from home formula to picking up points.

I'd say he was much better defensively than Patterson, even at RB.Audrey Horne wrote: ↑Sat Feb 07, 2026 2:30 pm Off the ball he is worse though? He drifts inside because that's his position as a CB!

He's playing Armstrong so he's not averse to using younger/riskier players at times.
Yeah fingers crossed it works out.
Re: Fulham v Everton
I got offered a posh ticket to West Ham but it means writing off a whole Saturday to go to London on the ale, kids miss their swimming, football and dance classes.
Asked the mrs - “that is entirely up to you.”
Might stream it I reckon, see what time we get back from dance.

Re: Fulham v Everton
We have the fifth least goals against in the Premier League, he can’t be getting it all that wrong with his defensive selections.

Re: Fulham v Everton
It is frustrating. I don’t understand it at all. Ok, he’s played the game and managed so must know more than a pleb like me but still, I just don’t get itAudrey Horne wrote: It's baffling to me

Surely the results we’ve got away from home makes it easier to understand why he’s making these selections?
