Looking back should Pickford be coming for the first goal also was completely in no man’s land for the second we are so poor this season at defending crosses 4/5 six foot plus players and can’t win the first header

Said the same when I first saw the replay, he makes the decision to come and it's a really poor one as he's never going to get close to it, and so when it's headed back across he's just left them with an open goal.

Not enough discussion about their offside goal imo... What's the actual rule here?

Was he interfering with play? Debatable.

Did he attempt to play the ball whilst in an offside position? No debate.

Genuinely don't know what the rule is here.

I didn't think the Armstrong offside was offside, so by the same token I'd probably say it should've stood. However, the Armstrong one WAS given offside and really I don't think it's too dissimilar. If they were consistent therefore it should've been chalked off.

However, it feels like the mistake was really that Armstrong decision.

Feel that a big problem for us is a distinct lack of pace. Just feels so slow and ponderous at times

If there was one incident from the game that summed us up it was when KDH and Gana ran into each other!classic groan inducing moment especially for the crowd

Also seemed like an apt visualisation for the team not looking like they’ve ever played together on the same side before

.........a combination of very poor finishing and 2 very poor errors of judgement from pickford clearly cost us the game

I was thinking that I hate missing games and would love if there was somewhere I could watch the games back later (to avoid my bad juju), but the more I read about this game - maybe that’s a blessing?

But if anyone does know of somewhere you can watch games back within a few days…

If you are a Forever Blue plus member (maybe just the normal tier as well?) then the full 90mins are available to watch on Everton TV, not that I’d recommend checking out this Bournemouth horror show

I dont think this was a horror show tbh...overall the performance wasn't too bad.....easy to be up in arms when we lose....
i'm not blaming the ref but once again he was main centre of attention.....our goal disallowed because ndiaye jumped over the ball and flicked a leg out to try and play it...no contact with the ball...."offside attempting to play the ball"......no goal...their player jumps and attempts to head the ball in an offside position...verdict..."not attempting to play the ball"...goal stands..????
their player breaks away does the correct thing tries to go across o'brien as o'brien is chasing across to him there's a collision.....just inside the half...the ref goes straight to red card..no VAR review....similar one in the man u game no red card....similar one in the city game no goal.....red card given after 5 minute VAR debate and pitch side review !!
what really killed us is poor finishing and again poor defending and poor substitions.....PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DAVEY STOP PLAYING JOB at right back...and why pull George off to put Armstrong on the wing when it obviously didn't work against leeds ?
For me the biggest problem again was only 2 men in midfield against at times 4 of theirs....plain to see...just plug the gap with an extra midfielder....
I think i'm getting to the point where i'd like to see both Barry and Beto out of the starting line up.... and play George or Ndiaye down the centre...
