It’s like the coaching staff got the work experience lad to look at a grainy vhs tape of Arsenal’s set pieces for 2 minutes and then implemented his findings

We used to be quite good a corners, that one to Tarks at the back post worked a couple of times but soon everyone figured it out. Last night was pathetic though and as I said on the matchday thread, made worse by the fact it was a tactic that we'd clearly worked on, how we thought that was going to delivery anything I'll never know. Ten corners wasn't it and I don't think we troubled them with any of them, our players spent more time in the goal than the six yard box.

The bigger question is do TFG throw more funds at players this summer in which the manager isn't sold on playing and knowing that in 12 months time he won't be the manager?

Sounds like you're all saying we need to get Charlie Adam back on the grass

I get the logic, the keeper was coming out strong and claiming or clearing our crosses, so we crowd him out to try to negate that.

I don't get why we just repeated the same delivery over and over, no change up at all. We had people on the edge and in acres of space, we could have had people making a run across the front post, why not just mix it up once or twice?

Doubt there was much thought on the set pieces behind he’s a young keeper from abroad so he must be shite on set pieces.

He dealt with everything with ease last night.

But the lack of variety…..

After 3, 4, 5… “lads it’s not working - switch to Plan B.”

11 corners and not one that we got a clean contact on just trying to make it a scrum in front of the keeper

I believe that TFG is expecting more of their investments to play as soon as Europe is out of the equation or unlikely.
If he doesn't play the younger players by then he.might not last over the summer. TFG might be a little more patient than many owners but they are also business men. So I think it's up to Moyes to prove he wants to buy in to TFGs long term strategy or else he's gone.

I never wanted Moyes to return, but he was exactly what we needed and delivered, as frustrating as it is watching, I think he needs to be here next season, just to properly lay the cornerstones (excuse the pun after last nights efforts) we change in the summer we risk going back to fighting relegation as much as we have progressing. We all know what Moyes is like from the first time and nothing has changed, but in my opinion, he’s exactly what we need right now. Possibly time to replace Irvine with a more fresh forward thinking coach.

Not the hero we wants but the one we deserve...
