As frustrating as some of it is, until he has a fully functional first 11 he can trust, I'm willing to give him some leeway with how we setup. Zero quality at fullback, inconistent quality in attacking spaces (not helped by Graelish getting injured) and a lack of creativity in our central midfielders, mean we are limited in how we can play.

The contrast between good and bad is the hardest part. We have great performances with a more balanced team against Villa and Forrest, but then switch things up only to look worse and lose anyway against other teams.

Ultimately, he's done what he needed to do this year, brought some stability and kept us clear of the relegation battle.

Our long term prospects were ruined after Moyes left but what happened was nothing to do with him and everything to do with mismanagement bordering on negligence

He got them 6th, 7th, won a European trophy and got them to the semis of the Europa league.

It did end poorly and I didn’t want him because of that. West Ham fans will say he tanked the league to focus on europe which I don’t buy myself, but they still finished 9th, so the ceiling is high, and the floor when it goes bad is high as well.

I dont think we can afford to sack Moyes with the quality of squad and depth in certain areas. We have some good players, and some really poor ones in desperate need of upgrading. Another year at least of Moyes is fine for me, hopefully we fill some of the massive holes in the squad quality before we get the next guy in to try to take us on the next step. Despite some poor performances at times this season I've enjoyed us competing again and not having the stress of a relegation battle.

I think you have to look at what it says to potential managers and players if you get rid of Moyes if we finish anywhere around mid table or above. It doesn't say ambition I think it says we lack patience. The footballs dire right now but we know as much as any fanbase that when Moyes gets it right his teams can play great football.

No idea whether he's got it in him to do that here but he deserves a go at it.

He is capable of producing an easy on the eye attacking team, Arteta, Pienaar, Osman, Cahill, Baines, Coleman, Yak etc. I’m hopeful he can similarly replicate that, even though you know he’ll still revert to “do not lose” over “go for it” over the “big” boys.

I wouldnt feel comfortable gambling on another manager while we haven't got a good level striker or a midfield playmaker.

Our home form is terrible, but our away form is excellent and that's down to how Moyes sets us up.

We're higher than we should be because of the manager, rather than underachieving because of the manager. Yeah theres things that he frustrates with but the bigger picture is clear for me.
