Brilliant start to the weekend. Absolutely brilliant.
In a world full of adversity, we must still dare to dream.

Re: Today's Football 2025-26
Can't remember which podcast I heard it from, but they made a comment about the management situation that no matter what they do (give the job to Carrick or bring in the new bigger name) they'll make the wrong choice at the end of the season...which I could definitely see happening still.
The problem really with all these elite clubs, no matter how incompetent decisions are made, there really is no jeopardy for them. They can just spend and spend until they trip over something that works after accumulating enough good players. It's up to us and the other teams in the PL to worry about budgets and PSR, and trying to attract players who would often rather sit on a CL teams bench because they can pay way better and it'd look better on their CV.
And it only gets worse once they're back in the CL, especially if they can keep that qualifying year on year so the gravy train keeps going along.

Just seen that push from behind on the Sunderland player. If that was a Utd, Liverpool, City, Arsenal player that 100% earns a penalty.
Disgustingly crap refereeing in this league.

Re: Today's Football 2025-26
Leicester bang in trouble now, losing to 2-0 to Norwich and haven't won since the start of January.
Blackburn never went down to League One did they, so they'd be the first PL winners to go down two leagues. Been a massive fall from grace as well when you think it's only 10 years since they won that title. There would be a nice symmetry to it if they do go down, the Championship season finishes on May 2nd, 10 years to the day that they won the PL title.
Easily the most bonkers, roller coaster club in recent years.

Blackburn had a spell yes in League 1, think it was the 17/18 season. Or around there.Gash wrote: ↑Sat Feb 28, 2026 2:21 pm Leicester bang in trouble now, losing to 2-0 to Norwich and haven't won since the start of January.

Marine 1-0 up at HT against Woking in the QFs of the FA Trophy. Only 3 halves of footy away from Wembley!
Re: Today's Football 2025-26
About ten minutes to decide whether Burnley's goal stands, disgrace to take this long, if it's not that clear the original decision should stand.
