That Burnley VAR decision is a bit of a joke. There wasn't a conclusive bit of footage there to say with 100% certainty that it made contact with the hand. Even if it maybe or probably did, that shouldn't be the bar to overrule a goal.

Yeah, even Soccer Saturday were saying it wasn't conclusive enough. Boyd initially thought it was handball but the more he saw the replays the more he changed mind.

I genuinely don't know why VAR do it to themselves. It happened against Burnley, so will be forgotten about pretty quickly no doubt, but all they had to do there was do nothing.

They're almost allergic to saying "We don't know" or "We can't be sure" which would've been the right decision there. Let the game go on in that scenario, they shouldn't feel the need to decide something positive or negative every time.

Early doors, but it feels like this is going to be a tough game for Man City. Arsenal made light work of this fixture as they're probably amongst the most physical sides in the PL but Man City especially minus Haaland look like they might struggle more with Leeds' approach.

Leeds' 3-5-2 is a big problem for a lot of defences. Inspired mid-season tactical change by Farke. Suits them perfectly. Defences arent used to dealing with 2 forwards now, and both Leeds' wing-backs are a handful. Hard working central mid 3 as well makes them hard to play through and rarely outnumbered in the middle.

Actually it's more of a 3-6-1 today, so even more power in the middle, and Dom will run all day for you and occupy defenders.

Nice passing from Man City for that goal.

Very much against the run of play though over the entirety of the half.

Semenyo has has made a massive difference tbf to City in the second half of the season. RAN seems to be settling at LB as well and he's a top player.

Their bench is absurd really. Foden, Savinho, Doku, Gonzalez, Stones, Savinho, Rieinders, Trafford, Khusanov, Ake

And this is with Haaland out of the squad.

I just can't see City not winning the league looking at that.

Actually think the bench is a little lacklustre? Foden, Savinho (had him there twice) both pretty poor/not effective for me at the moment. Foden had a little purple patch earlier in the season but has now gone back to being more subdued again and I'd not be totally surprised if Man City wouldn't entertain offers for him as he doesn't really suit their current way of playing.

Reijnders...ok. Gonzalez ok. Stones, Ake, Khusanov ok too but most of that group not really game changers these days. Doku is a talent and offers something different but a bit hot and cold at times.

Think most of their real talent is on the pitch right now with Haaland out. Semenyo has certainly made a difference as he is getting some goals when Haaland isn't and that was one of their bigger issues.
