Some of the mad made up stats these days piss me off a bit so I did it purely on save percentage, no other metric, and in this one Pickford was 17th.
Then there's this

Don't know whether I'm being dozy here but is this a good or a bad thing?

We are 9 goals better off than we would be with an average Premier league keeper. So yes hes top based on that

That is what they *meant*, but the wording would have you believe the opposite.

Goals v expected goals and we're +9?
That means +9 goals yeah?

Trophy's are too disputable a source to use as the reason one is better.
Agree.

And sorry to pick the bones, and this probably isn't the right thread, maybe the gripes thread or whatever it's called...but there is nothing/little more irrelevant in a team game with 11 players and their combined successes or failures, that correlates to a specific individual's performance.

Trophies mean almost nothing.

If it was golf or singles tennis titles, then that is never in dispute.

In a team game that requires 10 (or more) others to contribute to a similar excellent level then it's obviously a pointless metric.

Even more so when considering the job title of goalkeeper - if this position does well then broadly speaking it's almost the antithesis of a team performing well. A keeper who is tested regularly and performs well when tested, is a true high performer. One who is hardly ever tested, despite doing well when it happens, by definition is largely not going to be as good based upon limited data and less-reliable sample sizes alone.

Yes yes, they need concentration for the whole 90...
