Re: Beto
Hes back to the good form he showed at the end of last season. The ball is sticking to him more with odd moments of really good control. Battling hard. More involved. Hes done really well recently.
Re: Beto
Yeah.
He has one really good ability - the Jelavic "second touch is a celebration" ability and is pretty rubbish at most other things.
But credit where credit is due - he grafts and he makes a nuisance of himself. On his day he'll also hold the ball up at an average level and can read the game ok. Sometimes that's enough!
He's also a lovely bloke and I want him to do well so badly

"It's difficult to explain sometimes as a manager you come across so many good people who work really hard but this boy is incredibly humble, does his work every day, wants more, can't get enough of it. Sometimes the harder you work the more luck you get as well. Whether it was luck today or not he certainly took his goals great."
Moyes' comments on Beto post match, he's worked hard for that praise, will be like oxygen to him. Realy nice to see Moyes acknowledge what he puts in.

Why are they at a hotel for a home match?blueToffee wrote: ↑Sat Mar 21, 2026 7:39 pm Everton goalscorer Beto, speaking to Sky Sports: "I don't think I'm a hero. I feel like I'm home. Playing for Everton is something unbelievable. You just want to give your all and help the team with goals, assists, good performances, anything. I'm really happy.
"Today was a must win game for us. Since we came out of the hotel the fans were shouting. They knew. They were feeling like we need to win this game, so we did a great performance, three goals, clean sheet. We are happy."
Top bloke.

Re: Beto
I think he's showing enough for us to comfortably get £15-20m for him in the summer, which will be a nice help to the transfer pot.

Re: Beto
I reckon that would get reinvested in Delap (I’ve got no idea if this is a good or a bad thing)Bluedylan1 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 22, 2026 11:56 am I think he's showing enough for us to comfortably get £15-20m for him in the summer, which will be a nice help to the transfer pot.
Re: Beto
He’s always averaged around a goal every 180 minutes here which is a great record to have.
If he played every minute of every game he’d be getting close to 20 a season.
It’s just a shame that he’s never developed his hold up play.
I love him, hes such a likable character but think we need to sell in the summer.
