Tim Iroegbunam
Re: Tim Iroegbunam
Been a joy to watch his improvement.
Started the season as a bit of liability with limited positional sense, is finishing it as a highly capable PL midfielder. And there’s still plenty more upside to be captured.
Incredible outcome given the circumstances of his signing.

How ironic that Villa paid us £50m for that exact player?Raptor wrote: ↑Tue May 05, 2026 8:59 am I like his energy and enthusiasm but his quality on the ball isn't all that and we need better control if we want to improve.
I think he gets the crowd going to with some spectacular challenges, but when you break down the challenges they're usually as a result of being miles out of position and having to make them. Like I said, I do like him, but think he's got a lot of developing to do to be the player people want him to be
Re: Tim Iroegbunam
Looking at our midfield options for next season and we are pretty well stacked aren’t we? KDH, Garner, Rohl, Tim, Armstrong, Gueye. Potentially add Hackney to that and I can’t see how we don’t let at least one leave.
Re: Tim Iroegbunam
Don't think we even need to buy anyone in midfield tbh, even if we let Gana leave (as we should imo).
Garner, Tim, Rohl, Armstrong, KDH and Alcaraz is enough, that's 6 players for 3 positions meaning we should have enough cover and also not such a bloated group of CMs everyone gets game time.
Spend the money where we need it most - LB, RB, ST and either Grealish back on loan or buy a fast winger.
Re: Tim Iroegbunam
Pretty sure he'll send Armstrong out for the season somewhere towards the top of the championship, so reckon we may need one in there

Wrexham or one of the 3 side who lose their next game(s) & miss promotion. Either that or PNE again
Re: Tim Iroegbunam
Obviously I've been a big supporter of the lad, and I still am... But our midfield has looked wide open the past couple of games with him in there.
Still has a lot of work to do when it comes to positional sense, and I think he'd suit a 4-3-3 more than a 4-2-3-1. As would KDH, but also you need attacking full backs and top wingers to play that formation effectively, and we don't really have any of those.

In his mid 20s and he’s half a player.
Just give up and sign someone similar with ability.
