Surely not.

Someone else mediocre to keep Dibling and George off the pitch.

Good player tbf, excellent attitude and works really hard too.

One of those very under rated players who you only really appreciate when they play for you.

20 goal contributions the season before last, 10 the year before. Dropped off last season but that was because he barely started and most minutes were off the bench.

My biggest issue would be his age. He's 31 and obviously no real scope for improving or selling, so it's dead money. He'd be a substantial upgrade on McNeil though of it was a case of selling one and buying the other for the same price and wages.

He’s either dirt cheap (unlikely) or it’s a no for me.

At that position with that age profile, you need to have Grealish levels of quality for any sort of substantive investment to be remotely worthwhile.

There's literally no way he is coming here.

Apparently it's also reported in the Athletic (don't have a sub to verify it).

Im impressed with him too, but I think its mainly to talk down prices for other targets - one in particular I'm hoping for.

Was thinking the same too but even though he's a big unit isn't he a bit passive? Certainty that he'd come if we offered him the chance.

Maybe he just isn't in the spotlight but I feel he gets passed by or something. Can't quite put my finger on it.

Think our midfield needs strength or bite or legs if Gana is gone, someone imposing, and I'm not sure he's quite that. If no one better was available, then OK. Still will need a decent ball winner as we're not going all out posession any time soon.

🚨🔵 Everton are expected to wait until later in the transfer window before completing the signing of a new right-back, with a move more likely closer to deadline day than the start of the season.
The Blues are prepared to be patient in their pursuit of Guéla Doué, hoping a delayed approach could help lower the asking price.
If that deal doesn't materialise, the club remain confident they can secure a move for Aaron Wan-Bissaka as an alternative.
