I have watched the obligatory YouTube video of him.

He has a calmness about his play that I like. He has an excellent reading of the game and he is one of those players which will go unnoticed but do a lot of the dirty work really well. Those little interceptions or tackles and will calmly pass the ball off to others to carry up the pitch.

That could see Garner become a real dynamo in midfield and allow him to get further forward. You can see Norgaard sitting in the 6 with Garner moving to an 8. That will allow us to win the ball further up the pitch with his energy and pressing, replacing Ganas enthusiasm for that side of the game.

How well it will work will depend on Garners ability and desire to get forward and in/around the box more often. If he can do that, then this signing could add another level to his game.

I'm not sure Garner, KDH, Hackney and Norgaard will all play together, if they do something either has to change formation wise or someone gets played out of position. It'll be interesting to see how it pans out.
