Its a pity that its the Munoz that plays right wing back for Palace and not the Munoz that plays right back for Colombia, who looked brilliant playing right back in a back 4 for them in the World Cup. I wonder if that Munoz is available?

Castagne would be a weird one. Not someone I really know a lot about, but reading up on him he's apparently not great defensively and lacks the pace to deal with a quick winger.

He's better going the other way apparently, but had zero goal involvements last season, which would suggest he's not good at that either.

Can play left back as well, and is a decent height so I guess those are two boxes Moyes is desperate to tick in whoever we sign.

Castagne is such a bog standard RB with no real standout attributes. I don’t think he would be much better than what we have and so i don’t see the point.

Signing him would signal failure in our attempts to bring in a RB to sort out this issue for the longer term.

Edit - and he is 31 this year.

Can't make it up.
Such a vast, extensive scouting network across the globe. Moyes is about a decade older than the next manager in the prem and it shows.

🗞️Everton are continuing to sound out Right Back targets. They hold ongoing interest in Daniel Muñoz. Timothy Castagne is one of several options on their shortlist.

I have absolutely zero recollection of this guy playing for them in the Premier League last season

I don’t want to sign any players from Burnley ever again

Think Flemming would be a decent-ish addition as a squad player near the end of the window.

Scored 12 last season for a crap Burnley side.

He's 28 though so would have to be a cheap pick up.

Must have been who Moyes was watching the other day.
