Because Ndaiye might leave.

Doesn't mean a bid is imminent, just that we are ready to get on a replacement if and when Ndaiye goes

Have to assume they’re preparing for a bid for Ndiaye.

That or we’re loaning out one of the younger players, but that seems a little less likely based on preseason.

Of course.

If they don’t deliver, they should be criticized heavily.

If they do, I can’t hate on the approach. If I could only pick one player from the options presented, it would be Doue.

We have had 6 transfers (30%) so far (IN: Hackney, Nørgaard, Johnson, Rohl, George - OUT: McNeil)

That means that I expect 70% or 14 more transfers before deadline day.

Or if you don't class Rohl and George as transfers then I expect 9.33 more transfers before deadline day.

Any less and I'll lose it after this clear promise.
I think there's a likelihood that Tim goes despite his injury.

Patterson will go once we have a new RB.

Ndaiye most likely will leave given so many links to wingers the past few days.

That alone in 4 transfers (3 out, 1 in).

Add in a replacement winger and we're at 5.

Use the remaining Ndaiye money on a new striker and ship out Beto.

That's 7.

Travers has been linked with a move away, so out he goes and in comes a new back up, and we're now at 9.

It sounds a lot, but add in the two Man UTD youth players we have been linked with and that's 11.

70% seems a lot, but not actually all that hard to get there really.

And if all that comes to fruition, I’d say that’s a pretty decent window.

Yeah, I was undecided on him really, but for me he died on that ghost-shaped hill.

Yeah.

He fixed a lot of the transfer/selection issues with Fulham. If we could’ve had that version, things would have been fine.

Had a battering ram that he preferred not to play (DCL), had Iwobi and couldn’t figure out what to do with him, made us spend a bunch of money on Gomes when we could’ve had the superior Berge for less.

And of course, the insistence on Sigurdsson also looms large. Can’t have an attacking midfielder who doesn’t pressure the ball well or get lots of attacking touches in that system.

I think Moyes would be happy to loan Dibling, but the rest of the committee probably want him to stay and play, just a hunch mind

Also, for the amateur mathematicians, “70% of our business” might be measured in budget, rather than bodies. So we might have 70% funds left, but it could all go on one or two players.

There’s a lot of variables at work here. Don’t sell yourself the dream of 11 incoming players.

Just to clear up the point, he didn't say "70% of our business", he said (4 mins in) "If you look at a normal window, 70% of the business is done in the last two to three weeks."

I’m just going to sit here and try to manifest this.

Tim, Charly, Beto, Patterson out.

Doue, Kofane in.

Right ok, so basically something completely different then and relating to transfer windows in general, not our own business.

Cheers for clearing that up 👍

That's a very different quote.

Although the Moyes quote of "We're still needing quite a few players to add to the squad. I'd like to do more if possible. We need to see how the remaining few weeks go."

Suggests we still intend to get a few in. We'll see if it happens.
