Iliman Ndiaye (New Sofa Incoming!)
Re: Iliman Ndiaye (New Sofa Incoming!)
Spurs paid 75m for Savinho? Wow.
Just googled it, an 85m package. Spurs still off their heads i see.
Also, great to see the level playing-field in the PL isnt it. Two relegation battles and £460m spent.
Edit: thats before Savinho and Marmoush. New total over 2 seasons would be £580m.

Keep saying it but Spurs have always had a massive income given that they're not really winning much. They're turnover for the year ending 30th June 2025 was £565m, ours was £196m, they're operating at a different level to us until we start getting more from the stadium but even at that we'll probably still be well behind them.
Re: Iliman Ndiaye (New Sofa Incoming!)
I think they’re over paying for savio, and underpaying for marmoush so city don’t have to split the profit on marmoush to Frankfurt.
Re: Iliman Ndiaye (New Sofa Incoming!)
We'd be having kittens too if we went out and spent £75m on a 26 year old with 9 non penalty goals and 3 assists in 65 PL games.

They've followed thr chelsea model and sold loads of young/no-name players and a few that no long fit. Think they've recouped about 150 million this season. The Doc wrote: ↑Sat Aug 22, 2026 8:01 am Spurs paid 75m for Savinho? Wow.

As much as many Spurs fans hated him, Levy saw the way football was going and has set them up amazingly.
He realised you're going to need to make massive revenue off the pitch to be able to spend a lot. They got laughed at when they signed the NFL deal and when Beyonce was basically having a residency at their stadium, but that's what's allowed them this huge ongoing competitive advantage over similar size clubs (Villa, Newcastle, us etc).

Completely agree, they do have the benefit of their geography though.Bluedylan1 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 22, 2026 9:37 am As much as many Spurs fans hated him, Levy saw the way football was going and has set them up amazingly.

Even if we had the same intention, no way we would as a venue be able to attract the same sort of revenue streams to that degree or importantly charge the prices they do. It’s another thing the spending rules don’t take into account.
The teams that do have boosted revenue streams in the north rely on global fan bases plus European competition.

Yeah, great game from him today. Worked very hard too.
Certainly shouldn’t be let go for anything but top top money.

Great player and so important to how we play but really needs to be scoring more with than amount of chances he gets.

To be fair his assist was delightful today (also something he misses at times) but he is an absolute joy to watch when he’s on it!
Good performance today, keeps any potential price for him high!

Maths ffs!Lazarou II wrote: ↑Sat Aug 22, 2026 5:57 am Savinho at £75 million must mean Ndiaye is worth £500 million.
It's simple math.
