Relegation
Re: Relegation
Eddie Howe is getting loads of stick from Newcastle fans for persisting with Dan Burn at LB, over Lewis Hall or Tino Livromento. And they moan about his subs.
Most of the issues fans have their manager’s are cut and paste jobs, across the league.

Re: Relegation
Neither of them are even left backs ffs but keep your justification of dyche going by all means
Re: Relegation
Dobbin could barely get a start in league 1...
I dont see him making the step up to be a regular contributor and the only reason he's here is because our squad is wafer thin.
Patterson I remain unconvinced as well but can see the argument to play him.

Dobbin is only getting time because he’s rapid - doesn’t matter what level of you don’t have any pace to threaten in behind you’re easier to play againstCantoffee wrote:Dobbin could barely get a start in league 1...

International for a shite side and you're even more delusional than I thought if you think he can defend as well as Godfrey, and I don't think he's even that good.Kerryblueboy wrote: ↑Thu Feb 22, 2024 3:11 pm Godfrey is not and will never be a right back Patterson is an international right back who will be playing in the euros in the summer can defend as well as Godfrey and is way way better going forward

Re: Relegation
Yeah fair play Godfrey is class alright wonder why our last 3 coaches didn’t play him he is rash and constantly out of position has great pace which for me is his only saving grace offers absolutely nothing going forward can’t cross a ball or overlap but sure dyche likes him so he is in the teamUnsyisaRhino wrote: ↑Fri Feb 23, 2024 11:00 am International for a shite side and you're even more delusional than I thought if you think he can defend as well as Godfrey, and I don't think he's even that good.

Re: Relegation
Also what a horrible dig at Scotland who did brilliantly to qualify out of a tough group for their first time at a major tournament in years far from shite they are
Re: Relegation
He’s been injured a lot of the time and had a bad bout of COVID.Kerryblueboy wrote: ↑Fri Feb 23, 2024 12:33 pm Yeah fair play Godfrey is class alright wonder why our last 3 coaches didn’t play him he is rash and constantly out of position has great pace which for me is his only saving grace offers absolutely nothing going forward can’t cross a ball or overlap but sure dyche likes him so he is in the team
Nobody is saying he’s great, just putting out reasons why he’s playing over Patterson.
I don’t think Patterson is good enough to be outraged over not starting.

Re: Relegation
I’m not outraged at all just think he is a better option than Godfrey especially in a home game against a weakened palace

Re: Relegation
Mmm... Southall, Ratcliffe, Hughes, Rush, Giggs and many more player internationally for shit teams. They were great players despite that. Obviously I'm not comparing him to these, but he can't help being ScottishUnsyisaRhino wrote: ↑Fri Feb 23, 2024 11:00 am International for a shite side and you're even more delusional than I thought if you think he can defend as well as Godfrey, and I don't think he's even that good.
Re: Relegation
Ready to give up on Patto in this team tbh, if you offered me a decent RB in the summer I'd bite your hand off.
I do think he would have made a better fist of it elsewhere tho and probably still will.

Re: Relegation
Yeah I'm sure in the right environment and with the correct game time he'd kick on loads... Can't help feeling that is the Championship though, not a premier league fight for your lives relegation scrap.
He's got some tools that are promising, but unfortunately needs to iron out the kinks somewhere that's not as pressured or as costly.
Re: Relegation
When has he actually cost us. I want examples.
You'd think he was Michael Keane reading here.
