We were 100% bang to rights and still are. I don't want to hear the words 'building a stadium' again. Who's surprised? Worst run club in the league for a decade and it's beginning to bite us on the arse, fingers crossed it's not too painful.

Now that we don't have any money lol
Funny how he said Forrest shouldn't be docked points but no mention that we shouldn't
Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation - 4 Points Back
Liverpool have just released their latest accounts, wage bill is £370m, twice our annual revenue.
We are cooked, the game is cooked. Go home everyone.

Not bad academy wages that are they.
To be fair they get results for that money. Salah is probably on 300k a week but he scores 40 goals a year.

yeah the man jordan is right but
dont like the comments of absurd witterings attached to andy burnham and steve rotherham
both andy and steve quite right to criticise the whole procedure and highlight the incompetence of the premier league

ERRR.... Hello Mr Texter...your saying what i've been saying re this FFP since it raised it's ugly head.
The problem you've got along with every other owner of clubs is simple...YOU LOT voted for the regulations to be put in place.
The Everton situation was a massive wake up call to you all as it's now a realisation exactly of how it effects your clubs !!
Your 90% Question.......Crying...milk..over.... spilt....you work it out !!

You know Everton voted for it too.
Also, if there's no spend caps what do you think the richest clubs in the league do. Spend less?

Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation - 4 Points Back
Madness how many of our fans think teams like Newcastle should be allowed to spend what they want.
The monopoly was created through the richest teams exploiting the lack of financial controls in the game.
FFP just came in ten years too late.
I’d dare say our situation would be a lot worse if FFP didn’t exist.
Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation - 4 Points Back
I'm just hoping there's a point at which spending obscene amounts of money on transfers and wages reaches a point at which for each incremental million that's spent, no overall improvement to their squad is achievable.
Or like Manchester United, make absolutely atrocious transfer decisions, throwing money down the can.
Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation - 4 Points Back
What i dont understand is why owners/clubs are letting the price for players escalate to stupid proportions in the first instance...if they didn't allow that to happen there be absolutely no need for the cock up that is FFP....and yes i include us in that statement...

It would be chaotic. Newcastle and City would go out and spend incredible amounts of money far beyond that of anyone else and destroy any sense of competition (even though it feels like that is already the case).TheRam wrote: ↑Fri Mar 01, 2024 10:49 am Madness how many of our fans think teams like Newcastle should be allowed to spend what they want.

We breached FFP and we have faced the consequences and so will others. The biggest problem is that the Premier League were (and still are) completely unequipped for their own rules, and their rules and guidance was not sufficient for the independent investigation to hand down a fair punishment.
You have to have financial regulation, but the PL cannot and should not self-regulate.

Also, there's absolutely no way no other club hasn't breached FFP in the last 10 years prior to us.
Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation - 4 Points Back
How haven't *we* done it prior to now?Bluedylan1 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 01, 2024 12:06 pm Also, there's absolutely no way no other club hasn't breached FFP in the last 10 years prior to us.

Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation - 4 Points Back
You do wonder. I just think we were in a general era of deregulation, and to some extent there was a laissez faire attitude towards it all, which arguably contributed to our disbelief when we got pulled for it when lots of clubs have been probably doing it.
It was still our fault, but clearly in some respects we've been typically unfortunate to be in the spotlight at the point that independent regs are on the horizon.
Still can't get over the fact that signing the sponsorship deal was in Moshiri's inbox and he just hadn't got round to it and if he had, we probably would've been ok and avoided all these deductions.
I still think we've been mistreated and heavily over-punished though, and no amount of revelations of our board's incompetence will convince me otherwise.
