Anyone get behind the pay wall for that?

One of the richest families in the world is backing the bid by two lifelong Everton supporters to purchase the club from Farhad Moshiri.
Michael Saul Dell, the founder of Dell Technologies who is worth about £120billion, is using his “family office” to support a takeover offer by businessmen Andy Bell and George Downing.

Family offices are established by wealthy families to manage their finances and Dell’s MSD Partners is on board should Moshiri grant Bell and Downing a period of exclusivity to seal a deal.

The duo have already put £50million on their personal fortunes into Everton and were among the creditors who 777 Partners could not pay back before the expiry of a May 31 deadline which led to their own takeover collapsing.

Crazy that Farhad fucked about for months with some cowboy coke dealers when he had 2 honest blues backed by one of the worlds richest families wanting in.

Hope he doesn't somehow manage to sabotage this.

Worth reading this article from 2021 on how MSD have provided funding for other clubs - and bear in mind interest rates for any deal would likely be substantially higher in 2024.

This is my concern. Is it a loan, if so what are the terms?
Or is it, in a very much ideal scenario, him investing directly in the club and buying shares himself and funding us.

Looks far more promising.

Get something in place fast, so we don’t have to sell the family silver and might actually be able to compete in the transfer market this summer!

Everyone think they’ll keep with Dyche?

Nobody will stop the Dycheman having one more roll. Once we’re looking at BMD as an EPL club things msy change but that will depend on where we finish. Would you sack him if we finished top 10, top 8, top…?

9.14% when rates were 0% is ridiculous. However, this might have been unsecured lending during the pandemic against future revenues.

If you have something like a stadium to secure financing against, then it might be a whole different level of financing.

Would be reckless not to keep Dyche for at least next season.

Yeah, assuming it would be Bell and Downing making decisions, they wouldn't be replacing Dyche. They would at least give him a chance under a more stable ownership.

The reality is no matter how much money is/isn't behind us, there's limits to what we could spend, so I don't see it being some crazy transformation. I would just love us to be stable and professional, and making sound business decisions to improve all aspects of the club. Having a couple of wealthy blues overseeing it does sound kinda ideal.

No new contract, though. Finish the season, assess next summer.

First priority (after this coming season) has to be getting the squad much younger, and Dyche needs to be on board with that.
