They look like they are big on sustainability, which is exactly what's needed now.

Ticking every box so far.

This was the one aspect I was hoping for, working together to develop some great young talent.

Yeah these guys seem like the real deal, everything so far suggests we're going to be in safe hands... Compare that to what would have been under 777 and it's a dream come true!

As I understand it there’s no debt attached to the friedkin offer which instantly makes it infinitely better than 777.

The latter would have killed us.

This is the aspect of wanting to own both Roma and Everton that kind of confuses me.

Both clubs play in top domestic leagues. It’s hard for academy players with limited professional experience to crack either first team.

You usually expect the clubs in a multi-club ownership model to be in leagues of differing quality so that academy players can be consistently lent to the highest level where they’ll play regularly.

I’m certainly not complaining about an owner who wants to stabilize our finances and run the club sustainably and I’m sure there are ways in which pooling resources will be helpful. It just seems a bit overly ambitious for one group to control two big clubs. It’s hard enough to achieve a high level of success with one big club with new financial rules effectively pulling the ladder up.
