It never used to happen as much with youth contract players being poached from us... I'm guessing the lack of first team opportunities and shite loans has really caught up with us now.
Its not just us. There's been a step change the last 18 months in the number of U16 players moving as the big clubs move to get them earlier. Think it has some Brexit link?

Huh?

They don’t seem to be the same type of player at all.

One is a very attacking winger, the other a sometimes defender, sometimes wing back with limited attacking output.

We could use a right back but that’s an odd way of framing our interest.

You can't sell 16 year olds can you? Isn't it just compensation you receive?

I wouldn’t say £10m for Dobbin is particularly excessive, given that he has made quite a few first team appearances and Simms went for £8m and played less. I would have actually liked to have seen Dobbin play more this year, so £10m is quite fair given that he was a useful squad member with decent potential.

Plenty of transfers for young players in the £10m mark being made. No chance that the PL can do anything about it.
Cannon went for 8m too, and Dobbin has more potential than both of them.

They'll just look at closing loopholes, similar to the Chelsea 8 year contract situation. Chelsea weren't punished, but they weren't able to do it anymore.
Not sure there is a loophole to close though?

What are they going to ban, buying youth players? Selling and buying between the same clubs?

Or are they going to become the total authority on every players value?

Depreciation/amortisation standards further tightened, how clubs recognise revenue and expenses could also be changed to diverge from IFRS standards, given the nature of the business.

But it probably isn't going to happen if it's moving on from this to a squad cost rule.

Would be changing the rules in our league and everyone else had UEFAs rules, wouldn’t work

Anyway as you say, none of it really matters as they’re changing it all

I’d like the very tenuous, probably completely fabricated, Wan-Bissaka rumours to be true.

One of the Dycheiest full backs that’s ever existed.

Him and Myko either side would be absolutely awful to watch but would probably result in points
