Re: Beto
Nothing hasty about it, the guy is a million miles off being a premier league player, and he doesn't suit our style of play either.
Actually think he'll do well in Turkey, he's got certain attributes that if used correctly would make him a decent striker... Not in the premier league though and not for us.

Re: Beto
Same.
Fine with selling him if there's a deal to be done that makes sense, but absolutely more to come from him.
Pre-season with the team and more adaptation to the league and country will do him the world of good. Has plenty of attributes.
Re: Beto
Think he has a decent touch myself.
Movement is very good. Always seems to get a good chance which isn’t easy in this side.
Plenty to work with. Pre season, better players around him, might bring the best out of him.
He was a better option than DCL for quite a bit of last season.
Decent goal record as well.

Re: Beto
I might be being really stupid but I'm still hopeful he could be a decent Premier league player for us. I quite like him

Re: Beto
I guess with Maupay back from his Brentford loan, we probably need to offload a striker. Assuming DCL stays then Maupay might be backup while Chermiti also gets more playing time

We tried that, it didn’t work.toffee_scot wrote: ↑Wed Jun 26, 2024 5:02 pm I guess with Maupay back from his Brentford loan, we probably need to offload a striker. Assuming DCL stays then Maupay might be backup while Chermiti also gets more playing time

Re: Beto
We’ll have to bring in a RB and RW who can pass well and put a decent cross in to make Beto work. I think Ndiaye would help a lot too with slipping balls in for him. Beto and Chermiti aren’t players who, at the moment at least, can play back to goal and do the hold up work. They run towards goal or get in position to score and you need the team to be a lot better creatively to accommodate that. Ideally your striker is just a goal hanger who can slot and the team feeds them. Look at Haaland for example

Re: Beto
I think Beto so wants to succeed here that he tries too hard at times, but he's worth another season to see if he settles in the prem... tough league for a striker to come to unless your already up there
