3 kids by 24. Mind you, he's rich enough that I doubt it affects his life.

Absolute joke - don't agree with abusing the manager/players but it was obvious that Shaw was never going to be fully fit - so why did Southgate take him? Questions need to be asked and a proper explanation given.

I don't agree with the booing or chucking bottles, although the post match criticism is justified. However he's done himself no favours this last month.

- Bringing Shaw
- Not bringing another LB
- Talking about not replacing Kalvin Phillips
- The Trent experiment
- Saying players aren't fit

It's almost self sabotage

I think he took him because the media didn't tell him he shouldn't. He'd have took Phillips and Henderson too but for the media.

Will be interesting to see whether Southgate makes any genuine changes for the Switzerland game.

Einstein's definition of madness and all that.

Losing Guehi is massive, but maybe means he can't keep Saka at LB. Mainoo has to keep his place. Foden's the one at risk of being the media sacrifice.

Was typically turgid and pure desperation and a moment of genius saved us... Southgate will believe it's all going to plan as we're in the quarters but he was 90 seconds away from becoming a hate figure for most of the nation.

Has to go with Saka as LWB and a back 3 for the next match, it's the only way we can get any sort of balance.

Also it's worth noting how pissed off England players seem during matches, bickering with each other, gesticulating for someone to move for a pass... There's frustration emanating from almost every player at the lack of cohesion and no one seemingly knowing what they are supposed to be doing.

Still... That Bellingham goal was absolutely insane, watched in the pub with my kid for the first time, he loved the atmosphere and how everything went mad when it went in. Proper memories that!

Someone in a group chat I'm in called the goal our 'David Platt' moment, and for those old enough to remember it, well it all went pretty well from that point on (well until that penalty shootout).

Mental Gordon didn't get on the pitch there. He should be starting on the left-hand side.

Predictably, Palmer wasn't Maradona in disguise when he came on.

If Switzerland play like they did against Italy then England are in trouble. They'll also be desperately hoping Austria don't make it through to the SF because that is an absolute nightmare of a match-up.

That might be for the best England don't make the final though because Spain went 0-1 down to Georgia, who are arguably better than Slovakia, stayed patient and believed in their patterns and eventually won 4-1.

Spain, France or Germany potentially humiliate England in a final.

Still think we’ll get to a final and possibly win it.

There’s just something about our tournament so far that mirrors previous winners.

Need big improvements but even then we can play like this and make the final.
