Additionally, although I find him very uninspiring, I do want to give him a chance to do more than just fight the flames. He’s had to put out so many fires in this burning basket case club I don’t think it’s fair to bin him off once they are under control.

Well if we don't win 28-0 on Friday then I want him gone.
Seriously though? No idea. Without the impending doom of points deductions it'll be interesting to see how he sets out. There needs to be a consistancy through the season, not drought and famine like last year. If the football is still horrible, then we look elsewhere. It we go on anything close to 10 games without a win we look elsewhere. If it looks like we have a sense of a plan of moving the ball through the actual midfield, and we finish comfortably midtable then we keep him.
The new owners (assuming all goes smoothly) will be an interesting variable.
Often new owners are itchy to choose their own man. I'm sure there won't be an ounce of pressure on Dyche at the moment, but if we were to have a difficult period in the season, itchy trigger fingers might appear.
Absolute zero for me... I think though if we finished say 11th this season and 10th the next but played attritional football many would call for his head over that period though.
I genuinely think with the right support in the transfer market and stability at the club he could, given time have us in and around that top 7-9 on a fairly consistent basis.
He's done a smashing job since coming in, and there's been some tough periods admittedly but we've come out the other side under him which we wouldn't have under previous incumbents.
I'm happy for him to be here long term, and I'll only change that view if something drastic happens that isn't based around points deductions and selling out best player without adequate replacements etc.
Can't believe there's any thought whatsoever of replacing him. Shouldn't we wait till he actually has an underperforming season before the talk of replacing him. He's done a great job so far
He’s done a remarkable job. He took over and we survived with Demari Gray up front with Doucourè as the 10. The debacle of points deductions and restricted transfers, yet we were comfortably safe before the end of the season.
His Burnley side eventually played some ok football at times, he deserves the chance to see if he has this in his locker with a little bit of a transfer budget, now he has moved on a few.
