I don't even think that is true. He looks a lot further gone than schneiderlin or probably even Walcott. It's almost like gambling on them after us given his poor time at West ham. On loan its not the end of the world but it's not a clever risk to be taking

I’d rather his loan fee and wages be spent elsewhere, shame as he was a top player, we just can’t afford the risk.

No, just a few weeks back Sky made a comment about his availability on loan, talk sport picked it up and from there it took on a life of its own, doubt very much we were ever interested.

I think it's worth looking at. It's not a like he's a winger or a striker, positions where you can lose it at a young age and never get back to that level. Centre mid, especially DM, is a position where age improves a player.

If he can be whipped into shape and get some of his confidence back I think you'd see the quality again.

McKennie is a solid all-around midfielder. I know he was shit at Leeds but I don’t think that spell is properly reflective of him as a player. He has his warts but does a lot of things really well. Puts in a big shift without the ball but still supports the attack well.

Not a great passer though and that’s been our big midfield weakness since we sold Gareth Barry.

I’d be disappointed if he was the only player we added in that area but I do think he’s worth looking at for the right price since Dyche loves his box-to-box workhorses. Wonder how cheap Juve are looking to offload him. Could be an opportunity to buy low on an unwanted player who could go up a level in the right team.
