I'd imagine he'll also be getting some lay prick shouts too, he likes to hold on to the ball and seems so composed to the point of almost being casual.

Looks good.
Obviously how this translates over 38 games with much better opposition, intensity and quality, only time will tell.
Do like the look of him though.

Passes it forward into feet and carries it forward - things we've badly lacked for ages.
Early days, but very promising.

Re: Tim Iroegbunam
So, we swapped Lewis Dobbin (who would barely have played), for this lad, who looks like he could really contribute to our season. And then sold Onana to Villa for £50m, who was a good player but Timi looks like he could potentially match the output of Onana.
I do feel like it could be a fantastic trade, but when he has a bad game, we need to show patience with him. He is still young and so will make mistakes. But you only need to see Mainoos trajectory at Utd to prove that age isn’t a barrier to becoming a first XI permanent fixture if you are good enough.

Yeah looked good yesterday but I think we need to temper expectations a bit and accept that he may have some deficiencies that show up once the games mean something.
If he contributes this season it'll be a bonus but I still think we need another CM really.

Re: Tim Iroegbunam
It's not about better imo, it's about contributing and I think so far he's done as much as Onana would have pre season. I also think he wants to be here rather than sees us as not good enough for him, which is pretty much what he said about us during the Euros. Be a good season watch on both playersKerryblueboy wrote: ↑Sun Aug 11, 2024 3:16 pm Doing well but some of the bell ends online saying he is better than Onana are so embarrassing
