Test games will be with the under 21s as per article in the Times Today, great article in fact about Everton, Dyche and Thelwell, both in last year of contract and no suggestion of new contract etc.

Every time accounts use this picture I think he looks so rough in this picture. Absolutely knackered.

Need to fuck him off now. It's ridiculous nonsense. Hasn't been fit for 18 months yet he's still here because the only thing we do well is sentiment

I find the whole thing a bit odd now. Whys he still not fit. There seems to have been no explanation of the injury and what appears to be numerous relapses without ever playing

It really is what's the point now. We kept him on to take a loom through the summer and he's still not fit.

We aren't paying him at the moment though so there's no reason to just jettison him. Even if he never gets fit and doesn't ever play for us we'll spend absolutely nothing during that whole process.

I know but this is elite sport not a charity. Honestly I'm just in a mood about Everton being Everton. I was all for him getting pre season to prove himself but he's still not fit. He's still not played a single minute. You just wonder what the point is. Only thing we actually seem to get right is being incredibly charitable to players that have let us down costing us millions

I understand what you're saying, but all the money we've sunk in to him has already been spent, and we won't spend anything else unless he is able to contribute.

If he contributes he goes someway in making the money already spent not a complete waste.

Worst case scenario he never plays and eventually leaves costing us nothing during the period from end of contract to exiting the club.

Best case scenario is he gets fit, feels looked after and finds a love for the game again, and then we get a good player who ends up repaying our patience.

I don't think there's a middle ground there, it'll be one of the other... Most likely the first, but we have nothing to lose by seeing if the latter happens.

Again, for the second time, we aren’t paying him.

Not harm is being done in letting him train and us getting first dibs on a new deal if he’s in good condition to play.

I didn't need the 1st time. I'm aware we aren't paying him. Maybe we could get everyone in who hasn't been fit for 18 months so we've got first dibs.
