He was asked if holgate starts or whether he would play Roman Dixon and he said Dixon wasn’t ready so you can prepare yourself for some mason

Fancy posting it so we can make our minds up on that?

So far, we’re quite far away from him confirming Holgate is going to start.

Can’t really understand this. I find it hard to believe Dixon is anymore of a liability than Holgate is.

Thing that annoys me the most is that it's like one day he said "I'm a fullback btw" and the world of football have just accepted it as fact. He was wing-back at Inter but never even played fullback until he went back to Villa. Arguably the most important position on the pitch in modern football and we've plonked a couple of geriatrics there, one of which is actually a winger.

A succession of managers and dof have completely and utterly buried their heads in the sand over the situation at right back(since coleman broke his leg).
We have tried all sorts to fill in while coleman is injured, and that's exactly what they are make do's.
In all the years since colemans injury we are now left with the pathetic mess of an utterly useless 39 year old ex winger that offers nothing but agro for us, we also have a 36 year old injury prone 1st choice that we will be lucky to get 10 games a season out off, and young right back that the manager clearly doesn't rate and would rather play anybody but him there.
And now we have the wonderful prospect of playing the hopeless liability holgate there against Spurs.
As you said Shogs, one of the most important positions in the modern game and we have neglected it for years to the shambles we are in now

If the old site was still up then you'd probably find posts from 2017 saying that Coleman was finished and needs to be replaced as 1st choice. Nothing against him personally because he's a great representative of Everton but it sums us up that 7 years later he's still our 1st choice RB.

Yeah, 7 years down the line and still nowhere near addressing this huge problem

Club wanted him to stay but he'd had enough apparently.

I've had enough, wish I could get a move to Bergamo.
