Re: Dyche
If the club was run properly without all the cosy 3rd rate staff we've had for decades, there would have been no Sam or Raffa or Dyche and others, it was absolutely exposed how shit we have been run when Moyes went, he span the plates all the time he was here, it tastes awful but we have to swallow, can't even blame Moshiri, he's as much a victim of the dinosaur mentality of the club as the fans are
Re: Dyche
It’s 100% on Moshiri for me. Him and Kenwright absolutely destroyed the club but when he became owner he could have done something about that and he didn’t. That and playing Billy big bollocks with transfers, “Hollywood” signings and shite managerseyesalwaysblue wrote: ↑Sat Aug 24, 2024 6:40 pm If the club was run properly without all the cosy 3rd rate staff we've had for decades, there would have been no Sam or Raffa or Dyche and others, it was absolutely exposed how shit we have been run when Moyes went, he span the plates all the time he was here, it tastes awful but we have to swallow, can't even blame Moshiri, he's as much a victim of the dinosaur mentality of the club as the fans are
Re: Dyche
Always think it's worth going back 12 months and seeing how things have changed. Obviously we struggled to start well last season but we did have strong xG performances and were considered 'unlucky' not rack up more points than we did.
Obviously only two matches in but it feels like we're a lot worse now than we were then and there's not a whole lot of reason for that to be the case, at least from an attacking POV.

Re: Dyche
Doucoure and DCL having absolute stinkers, Keane playing again, no right back, Pickford having a wobble, sold Onana, Branthwaite injured, Garner injured, new players bedding in.Shogun wrote: ↑Sat Aug 24, 2024 6:54 pm Always think it's worth going back 12 months and seeing how things have changed. Terrible conditions to start the season. Some Dyche's fault, some not. It's safe to say he has more challenges than most managers in the league though.

Patterson Keane Tarkowski Young
Garner Gana Onana Iwobi
Doucoure
Maupay That started last season against Fulham and we seemed miles better in general play compared to now. Even then Garner was out of position whilst DCL was out for Maups. Doucoure's drop off in 2024 has been wild.
Re: Dyche
Maupay obviously gets a lot of stick due to the lack of goals, but he was putting in 100% effort and is a decent footballer. This current version of Dom is worthless, he offers nothing.Shogun wrote: ↑Sat Aug 24, 2024 7:10 pm Pickford

And if you add an on form Doucoure, Onana, Garner, Iwobi and a fit Patterson to this current team and I think that ups the quality.
Plus, this season's Brighton, and Spurs away are difficult games. Dyche can definitely help himself by picking a better team though. I don't think JOB improves us, but Lindstrom and Ndiaye are there, DCL needs dropping for Beto, and I'd even opt for Maupay as a second striker.
Re: Dyche
The problem is we’re so one dimensional. Our “success” last season was built on a solid defence and nicking a goal either on set pieces or counter. When u don’t have the defence foundation and no other way of playing you are fucked.
Best hope is we get branthwaite back asap and tripper in, then hope and pray that first choice back four stay injury free most of the season

Trippier JOB Tarks Branthwaite McNeil
Doucoure Garner Tim
DCL Beto
Imagine Dyche’s ideal lineup, just bang it in the box from any set piece
Re: Dyche
We just have to settle and get up to speed I think. Hopefully this is the bad run and we're getting it out of the way.
He'll find a solution and have them heading everything and winning free kicks in time, but right now we look very fucking under cooked.
Was quite funny during pre season when he said we hadn't worked on anything tactical yet. Can tell. But at least everyone is injured.
