Doubt he'd come, he's at a more stable club at the moment.

£36m. Probably the most he had at Burnley.

Moussa Sissoko scored for them yesterday. Mental that.

Isn’t he just trying to illustrate the situation at the club.

We shouldn’t be grateful for slop, but it’s all we’re going to get at the moment.

He’s basically saying, “lads, it’s all shit, don’t be getting ahead of yourself after a good end to the season”

He should maybe pick his words carefully, but his general point is valid.

We always do this though. The debate goes away from the on the pitch stuff and starts getting personal.

This is when it gets incredibly boring to read and be a part of. There’s no reason behind it, it’s just people lashing out because they don’t like the man.

I look at dyche, and all who went before him and see a bunch of fellas broken down by a club that offers no environment for success and no support network when things inevitably go wrong.

I can’t be bothered being angry at another manager. There’s things they all could have done better, but eventually when you’re as badly run as we are it will all fall apart.

I'd have a punt on Carseley at some point. Highly rated for his style of play. He knows us and what we expect etc..

He said a myth evolved going into the last season, a myth, nowhere does he say the fans had an expectation of Europe, this whole thing is that circular firing squad that I spoke of.

Not sure he will last the season if we get a new owner tbh. Got really lucky to go on a good run at the end of the year and in Nov/Dec.

Yeah they did finally spend in that season but it was far too late by that point, the damage had been done.

All managers have their shelf life at any particular club, they invariably all fail at the end or they move to a different club and fail at some point. You have to look at it as a whole and he did a really really good job at Burnley until like all managers he eventually succumbed to the inevitable.

He built though, that club was unrecognisable from when he took over for a sustained period of time... I find it hard to see any argument against that fact.

Meh 8 years ago they got into Europe

Football moves on. Benitez won the Champions League. He’s still a horrifically out of touch shit manager now

Dyche hasn’t developed anything different since Burnley. Still all about high fitness and % chances from hammering it into the box. Standard of fitness across every PL team now is at the same level though, so that isn’t getting us very far and it’s been plainly obvious for a while that a high press completey negates any kind of tactics he uses, don’t even win set pieces as we can never get out of our half apart from hoofing it long

He is what he is, it’s shit, outdated, and there’s no Plan B

That's a different argument though, and we still finished joint on points with fancy modern forward thinking Brighton last season, so whatever anyone thinks of his style and tactics it was good enough to match everyone's favourite second team over a whole season.

We'll keep having these arguments every time we lose a few or go on a bad run because people for whatever reason don't want to acknowledge the reality of our situation regarding the players at the manager's disposal.

He’d be mad to, he’s very well regarded and we would absolutely tank his burgeoning reputation.
