Can only imagine what dyche would think of him.

Stunning player but he can't run. Would be like Rooney second year and end up playing DM because he's the only fucker who can pass.

He’d have lasted two games before a mystery injury keeps him in South America for the rest of the season

He's had 5?? Free transfers in a row now. There's a reason for that

Not one for catastrophising, honest, but we are a Gana injury away from a central midfield of Jimmy and Timmy.
Surely we have to get in another CM on a loan or a free. I understand that we can only pay with plastic buttons and toy unicorns like that kid on the Cadburys chocolate advert but someone has to come in. Madness if we leave it as is.

He would still easily be our best player

I agree, it’s our weakest area.

Dyche does speak very highly of Armstrong so maybe they’ve seen something there than makes them think he’s good enough.

Only 17 and seems to be amongst it already.

Too much of a risk for me.

I honestly think if we don't address it properly we go down.

We have two loan slots still to use. Surely there must be a CM somewhere in the stratosphere of football we can bring in.

They where quite vocal about wanting Phillips before he went, they can't leave it surely.

We have to start bringing through some of the young lads if we think there is a chance they are going to be good enough. In an ideal world they should be out on loan to the championship or upper end of league one.
Dixon certainly didn't disgrace himself at the weekend but it's a big ask to just step in and do it week in week out at the highest level.
Tonight might be a good opportunity to get Armstrong some time off the bench.
Albeit in a different position Okoronkwo cant be far off either.

That's just nonsense. There's only 1 logical reason he keeps getting moved on for free and it's not that he's good

It's pretty much unquestionable in terms of skill. At the same time, especially in this Everton, not a chance he would be our best player on the pitch.

Nah, he’s good! Player of the tournament at this year’s Copa America. Difference is he will have players doing his running for him and he’s motivated to play for his country.

Was good at the copa but that's been the outlier in recent years. He's had chance after chance in club football none of which his taken

Fuck me, have people actually seen us play? James is a shadow of his former self but he would still be one of our best players, most of the team can barely pass and control the ball.
Being the best player in a Everton team doesnt make you a great player by any stretch of the imagination. I wouldnt go near it even on a free as its massively the wrong direction, but wow, how we could do with someone of his ability and creativity
