Obviously wanted a right winger with pace but when fit, he’s a better footballer than Beto and another player who can play as a second striker.

Doubt Chelsea are paying his wages. Think it's just no loan fee on top. Still don't mind it though. Low risk

Not due to be fit til mid October according to BBC, so maybe won't be fully available ''on the grass'' til November.

Can see why Ipswich pulled out. Didn't need a striker who's not as good as our best striker, needed a winger. Unimpressed.

Mangala's a good deal though.

It’s a nice surprise when I checked this morning - more than happy with it

Had we managed to get the winger lad in as well it would have been great but we should be ok with what we have and at least be safe this season

I get what you are saying but I can and will complain as I think it was a panic signing and not what we needed, we've been after a fast winger all summer and we end up with a crocked non scoring striker instead.

We've already got one of them.

Not a fan of signing players for the treatment table, but open to this. He’s not lived up to early promise and needs a bit of a shake up to reignite his career. Hope that’s exactly what happens.

Interesting window:

Added some depth into midfield, and it looks more attacking.

Made some shrewd signings of right age and development stage to blossom with us and potentially make some profit, if not also actual progress on the pitch too.

Got shut of a good amount of dead wood.

Transfers indicate at the very least some sort of relationship with John Textor, so I guess we watch this space.

Some players signed directly into youth teams and some academy players sent out on good loans for their development.

Kept hold of our top striker, it’s up to him now what sort of season he has to run his contract out on. I hope the new players give the manager what he needs to play to his strengths instead of isolating him so badly.

More optimistic than I thought I would be tbf. Good solid window across the board when you consider PSR restrictions and who the fuck would want to join the our circus?

Did any club sign Ernie, the fastest winger in the west?

Maybe one for January, depending on his milk round...

Fair point, but at least we're not locked in long term to a horrible contract. Taking a flyer like this is what the club should have been doing instead of signing flashy-dross on 5 year 100k/wk contracts. This doesn't work out, we walk away.

When is a club not a club?

Can you field 11 players all on loan? We could eventually make history: the first club to win a trophy, with a team made up entirely of loan players!

Not paying his wages until he’s fit, no loan fee, option to buy which, if he’s successful will sort the Dom replacement out.

It’s a good deal.

He’s only 22. He has massive potential, just been unlucky with his injury and hasn’t been nurtured right by Chelsea.

Welcome big Mando.

In
A centre half (JOB)
Two central midfielders (PSR Tim & Mangala)
Two attacking midfielders (N'Diaye & Lindstrom)
A centre forward (Broja)

Out/lost
Two centre backs (Hologate and Godfrey)
Two central midfielders (Gomes, Onana)
Two attacking midfielders (Dobbin and Danjuma)
A striker (Maupay)

So, I'd say we've looked to increase the quality of the quality of the squad but in no way addressed the lack of depth/quality in others.

Although, it does look like we were desperate to bring in a pacey right winger as well, which would have been fantastic.
We also didn't need to replace Branthwaite or DCL.

Not the best thing to wake up too.

Can't complain about the structure of the deal but he's absolutely bobbins.

Disappointed we didn't get a right winger, think we will massively struggle there this season.
