AM - 18 games
CF - 6 games
LW / RW - 2 games

So he played just over 50% of his games at AM in the championship that season... Can't believe Dyche hasn't taken such a large body of evidence and worked out that a guy who was deemed only good enough in the Championship as a number 10 to play around 50% of his games there is 100% a nailed on superstar in the Premier League in that position.

Honestly people just make stuff up and then say it as fact to suit their viewpoint 🤦‍♂️

Look he MIGHT be good there... MIGHT be, no one knows, he also MIGHT not be, there's not much to suggest he would be, it's not impossible but also it's not the guarantee some seem to think and claim.
You say I make stuff up to suit my viewpoint but you go out of your way in every thread to defend dyche like he can’t possibly be wrong we are wasting our most creative player out wide to take pressure off the team because dyche can’t coach them to pass a ball

Shogun wrote: Thu Nov 21, 2024 2:51 pm Considering he played 'Centre-Forward' in a 442 with almost always either Billy Sharp or Oli McBurnie in those 34 appearances then I think it's safe to say he played number 10 for Sheffield United

Transfermarkt Ndiaye positions by appearanes for Sheffield United:

Centre-Forward 34
Attacking Midfield 30
Second Striker 13
Right Winger 1
Left Winger 1
I think that's very open to interpretation, could also be taken as he played less than half his games at Sheffield UTD as a 10.

Unless someone has some sort of in depth tactical video of his time there it's impossible to compare how he played centrally or how it'd compare to how we set up, and therefore how suitable he'd be as a 10.

Second striker would be more easily comparable imo and he only played there 13 times out of 79 games.

So you can't actually reply to what I wrote because it's quite clear you never bothered to fact check your post, and because I did you have now resorted to changing the subject because that's all you can do... Fair enough, think this just proved everything I was saying, cheers for that 👍

Attacking midfielder, Second Striker and CF with a big man are all basically number 10 with his attributes unless @brap2 wants to tell me otherwise. It's not like a Barnes/Wood combination.

One thing those things categorically don't indicate is that he should be playing out wide.

He probably would be good in that position and dyche is wrong to say there’s no evidence of him being number ten.

I like him on the left and if moved I’d like to se whom upfront with Dom.

Yeah take a break from demanding random youngsters play to demand people do their research. I appreciate the irony

Hard to say, the fact they've made a distinction between AM, CF and SS would suggest he's not playing as a 10 in some of those, but as I'd imagine none of us ever watched a single game of his at Sheffield UTD then we can't draw any real conclusions... and even then it's in the Championship which doesn't mean it'd translate in to being a 10 in the Premier League.

He's been good out wide for us so I think there's plenty of evidence to say he's a pretty decent Premier League standard wide player. I'd like to see him in a 4-2-3-1 rather than a 4-4-1-1 because he's clearly only going to be producing at the business end if he's receiving the ball in higher up positions, which at the moment he rarely is.

Surprised he's just thrown something random out there without checking his info first, very out of character 😂
