Re: End of Moshiri - Friedkin, APPROVAL AGREED
Comes down to your own experiences. I've watched us from every part of the ground since being a small kid. I'll cry when she goes because I've been part of the history, the good and bad times like you I'm sure. To have no attachment is the difference maybe.
Re: End of Moshiri - Friedkin, APPROVAL AGREED
No problem with anyone having an emotional attachment and despite my feelings now I may well be surprised at the last match of the season and think back to the days my old man brought me in the sixties, just feel more exited about BMD than I am sad about leaving z Goodison, everyone’s different, which is a good thing.
Re: End of Moshiri - Friedkin, APPROVAL AGREED
Think I'm going to feel unhappy to see it gone, when the day comes, and from 11 thousand miles away, and by then only being lucky enough to having sat twice in it.

Hope they ban calling people "Lad" at the new stadium.

Re: End of Moshiri - Friedkin, APPROVAL AGREED
The club have been incredibly low key in making something out of our last season at Goodison.
No commemorative kit, nothing at Goodison on match days, no events at Goodison other than the one that was cancelled.
Thought at least they’d invite some ex players to come onto the pitch at half time or something like that. Not even anything to by to commemorate it in the shop.
Feels like we’re leaving with a whimper tbh.

Am sure that they will step it up now that the ownership issue has been resolved, there’s five months yet, can’t have ex players every game till then but am sure as it gets nearer to the last match.
Re: End of Moshiri - Friedkin, APPROVAL AGREED
The running of the club has been without the full attention of the person that owns it, I think that's the main reason. Which is a shame for Goodison and the fans. Hopefully we start to see a bit more now big Dan is in.TheRam wrote: ↑Sun Dec 22, 2024 9:19 am The club have been incredibly low key in making something out of our last season at Goodison.

True but I think it's largely down to how we've been run.TheRam wrote: ↑Sun Dec 22, 2024 9:19 am The club have been incredibly low key in making something out of our last season at Goodison.

We've been rudderless for a good while with no-one at the club who's really arsed about that sort of thing.
Re: End of Moshiri - Friedkin, APPROVAL AGREED
I thought we were getting a 'one-off' kit for the last game or something?TheRam wrote: ↑Sun Dec 22, 2024 9:19 am The club have been incredibly low key in making something out of our last season at Goodison.
