Re: January transfer window
Might as well, free up some salary for a loan player, Broja the main back up from now on if not the main man, Chermiti fit by January.
Re: January transfer window
Scored goals in Italy, his athleticism stands out much more there than here. Fast or strong players make a huge impact there.

Re: January transfer window
If it's not going to work here, it'd be a good move for both parties really as he has shown what he can do in that league.
Would still want to bring someone in though if he was to head out. Not necessarily in the exact same role, but a forward. Broja and Chermiti are coming off long term injuries after all.
Hoping for a Landon Donovan style loan who can contribute from the off.

A good way out of what's ended up being a poor deal for all involved.
Wish he'd worked out, he seems a lovely lad but this is the prem and he's just not.

Re: Beto
Yeah shame it’s not worked with him, if he could join Roma and we get some transfer funds from that deal then that could really help us in January.
He did quite well at Udinese so he should hopefully do well back in Serie A

Re: Beto
Whatever we get for him it's going to be at a loss, we only started paying for him this season and at £25m we'll be incredibly lucky to get anywhere near that.
If we're paying £5m a season for him and we get £10m back which I think is probably what we can hope for then we'll still be paying £3m a year for him after he's gone.
He needs to go but even once he has it'll continue to be an absolutely horrendous signing.

Re: Beto
I think I’d take a chance on loaning him out for rest of the season than get £10m for him in January , if he starts scoring back in Italy his value goes up, if he doesn’t, we’d still get £10m for him in the summer from someone.
Re: Beto
It's worse than that, we bank the £10m this season and continue to take the £5m hit per year going forward on the booksAjaxAndy wrote: ↑Sat Dec 28, 2024 10:57 am Whatever we get for him it's going to be at a loss, we only started paying for him this season and at £25m we'll be incredibly lucky to get anywhere near that.
