January transfer window
Re: January transfer window
Not the best source, but posting anyway
Everton looking to sign Maxence Caqueret in bargain deal.
Maxence Caqueret currently plays his football at Orel Mangala’s parent club Lyon.
He’s a central midfielder with 14 appearances to his name in the current campaign for the French side, and their financial situation may just help the Toffees.
According to Give Me Sport, Everton are also eager to discover whether Lyon are prepared to negotiate a deal for a bargain fee for the Under-21 ‘baller’.

Re: January transfer window
24 year old defensive midfielder with no assists or goals this season... I'd understand it in the summer as we need to replace Mangala and Gana, but it's definitely not what we need in Jan.
Re: January transfer window
Anyone mentioned Chilwell for left back yet? Certainly need some competition in that position. Mykolenko divides opinion on here, is Chilwell an upgrade?
Be cool or be cast out.

Re: January transfer window
Chilwell is an excellent player, I feel like he's always injured though, so a risk unless it's a loan. Is he injured right now?

Re: January transfer window
Chelsea will need to sell assets to keep on line with FFP.
Treat their u23s like the Argos catalogue imo. Get whatever you can for whatever position possible.

Re: January transfer window
Chilwell is done. He did his cruciate a couple of years ago and hasn’t been anywhere near where he needs to be. Continues to have knee and injury issues last season and hasn’t played this year.
His wages will also be an issue. Avoid and go elsewhere.

Re: January transfer window
I’d have been all over Leicester Chilwell but Chelsea Chilwell has been a disappointingly bad time for him.
Re: January transfer window
Can’t see us being able to sign much more than a couple of low wage loan signings, even then would probably be sending Harrison back and O’Brian on loan if Dyche still manager.
Re: January transfer window
Given the effort we put in trying to sign him last summer, I wonder if we'd go back for a loan:

Villa have received a number of offers for winger Jaden Philogene but have made it clear that he is not for sale. Philogene is expected to leave this month but Villa will only entertain loan offers for the 22-year-old, who was re-signed in the summer after an impressive season in the Championship at Hull City.

Re: January transfer window
(Ignoring that I think he's looked terrible for Villa)
I doubt any DOF worth their salt would send a young attacking winger to Everton at the moment.

Re: January transfer window
I think having someone in there alongside Mangala who can also pass could be transformative
