Dyche - HE'S GONE
Re: Dyche
Yeah whatever small glimmer of hope that we could get back to what we were doing last year (apart from during that 12 game spell) has completely disappeared. You literally couldn't play worse than we are, it's gone very Lampard / Benitez now.
I could almost forgive stubborn defensive grind it out 0-0 and hope to grab a lucky win but we aren't even solid at the back anymore. We were all over the place yesterday and even though we weren't attacking they seemed to find space all over without even trying.
It's neither great defensively nor has the diminishing defensive solidity allowed us to be more of a threat going forward.
The comical 'hoof' shouts every time our players aimlessly launched it to no one was embarrassing but fully justified.

Re: Dyche

Lindstom is 60 games without a goal. Ndyaie did well in the championship but failed in France. Young and gueye are years and years past their best. Which of these players have succeeded under a different manager. That's a short bloody list.
Pickford
Harrison
Young gueye dcl Broja (pre old age and injuries)
We don't have a list of players with previous successes. Half this lot have played their best football under dyche (that's how bad they are)
This lot were crap before they got here and they are still crap

Re: Dyche
He's got to go, he's ran out of ideas and he can't get the players to follow whatever plan he's got. Whoever comes in has a hell of a job though, the general quality in the squad is shocking, half of them can't pass a ball 10 yards to a blue shirt, the mistakes they make are obscene for premier league footballers at times and that can't be on any manager! They're clearly not good enough, I honestly look at our squad and think 4th or 5th from bottom is about as good as it can get.

It’s constantly brought out on here that this squad of players have failed under previous managers, which isn’t true.
Most of them have only played under dyche and Lampard, at a stretch Benitez.
The turnover of the squad has been huge over the last two years.
It’s false to pretend this is a squad of players who have been with eachother for years and underachieved.
They did well last season, but it all seems to be forgotten now.
Back to being shite with little to no expectation.
It’s nonsense.
Spend £80m on two new wingers and an attacking midfielder and you’d see little upturn in results playing this type of football.
Re: Dyche
Lindstrom's stats aren't as bad as they sound. Like he played 29 matches for Napoli and only 587 minutes. That's the equivalent 6 and a half matches in full? Only actually started three or four times.
An average of 20 minutes per match.
And that's in a team that went from being champions to 10th place that season under 3 different managers, so it's not like they were flying.
Then he's come to play under the manager where attackers come to die here.
An average of 20 minutes per match.

Re: Dyche
I do think the squad is bottom 6 for talent and very poorly constructed.
That doesn't mean it can't be changed or that we should go down.
I also think 1 open play goal in 10 matches, the worst xg in the league indicate their is no underperformance like last season. Worst football to watch and I just don't enjoy it.
I think it's possible to be doing slightly better in the league and play much more enjoyable football. I also think the squad doesn't need too much to improve it as is (ie sign a leftback with pace who can get forward and I think it could transform our attack under the right manager).
Overall it's time to go, he did an excellent job last season, underlying numbers supported him even through our bad runs, dealt really well with big mental setbacks of the points deductions, but that's all gone now.

Re: Dyche
They've never done much anywhere. These players have no history of being good enough anywhere. We've probably signed a load of shite.TheRam wrote: ↑Sun Jan 05, 2025 11:54 am I’m talking Everton.

Aren’t these the type of signings we’ve had success with in the past as well?Shogun wrote: ↑Sun Jan 05, 2025 12:01 pm Lindstrom's stats aren't as bad as they sound. He must be 20 odd matches without a goal before napoli too. Plus barely getting any minutes for a team in 10th doesn't say much for his ability either. He's crap
Re: Dyche
Aye if he can't get minutes ahead of Kvaratskelia then he shouldn't be here777Kidnappings wrote: ↑Sun Jan 05, 2025 12:09 pm He must be 20 odd matches without a goal before napoli too. Plus barely getting any minutes for a team in 10th doesn't say much for his ability either. He's crap

Re: Dyche
If he can't get 1 goal in 60 games he's probably a bit shit. Having watched him he's a bit shit. We keep signing crap. Our biggest successes in the transfer market in the last 5 or so years are the likes of Mcneil and garner purely because we got value for money for bang average players. That's the highlights
