Everton v Peterborough

Post

Live on BBC Iplayer on Thursday night. Peterborough are 19th in League One and conceded more goals than any other team (46 in 24 matches) but they're also the second highest scorers (41 in 24 matches) in the league

Heads falling off big time if we exit here.

Got to go full strength to hopefully get a confidence boosting win and a couple of goals for DCL. Patto and O Brien have to start though.
Pickford

Patterson O’Brien Branthwaite Young

Gueye Mangala

Lindstrøm Ndaiye McNeil

It’s going to be hilarious when we struggle to score and they play the more attractive football

I'm heading up too. I'll regret it at 6am Friday when the alarm goes off for work but I just hope I don't regret it by 10pm Thursday.

They will be highly motivated and will come with a plan and work their bollocks off so we won't be wiping the floor with them but no excuses, we should have too much quality and a comfortable win by a couple of goals would be par.

My only concern is we are more than capable of chucking in a double bogey or even losing the ball completely to take my golf analogy to an extreme.

It would be a horrific way for FA Cup football at Goodison to end but I don't think it will and we'll be ok.

To continue with the golf analogy, hopefully it’s not an NR !

Replay or extra time or penalties if it's a draw?

No replays from 1st round onwards this year. All settled on the day. ET and pens (really hope not!)

Remember when Dyche played 3-4-2-1 at Villa Park in the cup and won. Feels like a long time ago. Do something different to save your job

Yeah, it was a right stitch up of the lower/non league clubs who massively benefit from replays against higher ranked opponents. The fixture congestion argument is somewhat undermined by Liverpool, Spurs, Arsenal and Newcastle all playing a two legged League cup semi but there we are.

The Fa is so desperate for the top teams to take it seriuosly again that they'll agree to anything.
