Think that should've been a red for Romero and Guimaraes for his head to head.

Re: Today's Football 2023-24
I go away to cook tea, stick my head round the corner to see the score and good old Eddie 'three goals' Howe hasn't let me down.

Re: Today's Football 2023-24
Nah, small squad, butt loads of injuries, very busy schedule against teams where they don't see much of the ball in Europe... They don't have a champions league squad and it's massively costing them.Audrey Horne wrote: ↑Sun Dec 10, 2023 5:15 pm Why is everyone going on about Newcastle being tired?!
It’s very strange!!
Everyone has injuries, everyone is playing lots?
Also maybe if the tactics were different and not 1000000 miles an hour they may not be so knackered

I do like to see the likes of Callum Wilson moaning in the press though about the ‘lack of respect’ we and Spurs have shown Newcastle. Warms the cockles

Re: Today's Football 2023-24
Just find it strange tbh.
The way the comms are going on about it every second. As if they are the only team in history to get injuries?
Maybe they need to think about why ? Alter the tactics or training?
Just dont think its an excuse tbh, definitely not one to be used every 10 minutes on Sky.
Re: Today's Football 2023-24
If they're tired now they'll be fucked in a couple of weeks. I think they said yesterday that Howe has started the same 10 players for 5 games in a row so I guess they maybe are a bit thin on the ground. I agree with Lizz though, I don't get this constant narrative that they're tired like they're the first team to pick up some injuries. They're premier league players and if you're not playing you should be ready to step up when called upon. Coincidentally, Dyche pretty much said that yesterday, was heaping praise on the players not getting games for the preparation they were doing in case they're needed.
Re: Today's Football 2023-24
They definitely weren't equipped for the demands of champions league and premier league combined, and they've had terrible injuries plus lost their expensive midfielder though a betting suspension.Audrey Horne wrote: ↑Mon Dec 11, 2023 10:10 am Just find it strange tbh.

I think it's a valid excuse tbh, but obviously sky etc have their narrative which I can imagine is pretty grating if hearing it time and time again.
The issue I can gather from living up here is that he's unwilling to use certain players which means their rotation options due to injuries and suspension aren't coming in for the first choice players... He needs to address this, but the issue is playing someone like Matt Richie, who is kind of rubbish.
Still he would have been better off writing off a couple of matches playing crap squad players and giving the likes of Trippier etc a rest so they could then start again with some sort of energy in the team.
Re: Today's Football 2023-24
So they lost Tonali because he got caught betting. I don't remember Sky getting the violins out for Everton when we lost our expensive midfielder as a result of us doing the right thing and suspending him due to allegations of sexual deviance.AjaxAndy wrote: ↑Mon Dec 11, 2023 11:35 am They definitely weren't equipped for the demands of champions league and premier league combined, and they've had terrible injuries plus lost their expensive midfielder though a betting suspension.

Every single team in the league has injuries, has a busy playing schedule and has to just grin and bear it.
Fuck the horse punching cunts!

Man United might win this but surely the other match isn't going to end in a draw?
Edit: and it's 1-0 Copenhagen

Awful again from Man Utd. It's turgid football too.
Just no identity about them at all.
