New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
Shuffling some of our stadium debt around, says JPM have lent us £130m themselves.

Robber barons?
I dunno about that but they are one of the world’s largest banks and a lead underwriter in debt syndication.
Beats borrowing or securing credit from loan sharks and dodgy private debt financiers.

JPM are the worlds biggest bank. This is by far the best move for the club to ensure we can consolidate our remaining debt into one bond issue, or perhaps even several issues.
This will mean lower debt repayments, and might even allow the club to call/repay some of it earlier if they wish. It will also mean lengthening the debt profile so we don’t have to revisit this again for quite some time.
Getting institutional investors on board is a massive plus, as they tend to buy and hold until maturity. There will then be little speculation and not much of a secondary market for it, and we only then need to deal with a few investors rather than hundreds of different entities.
I am very glad that we are going down this route and that the Friedkins seem to have good contacts and knowledge in this area.

Read about their history. They were involved in 'creating' the crash in the 1930s so they could buy cheap shares by panicking the stock markets. We worry about the ethics of gambling advertisers on our shirts... these are way worse. I appreciate it's the way of the world and my feelings are worth less than a dime share

There were all sorts of bad things happening in the world a 100 years ago, not sure I’m too worried about what JP Morgan did way back then.Paddockoldie wrote: ↑Wed Jan 08, 2025 5:56 pm Read about their history.
