That sounds like something from the Royal Rumble. I'll be disappointed now if this isn't what happens.

Re: Dyche - HE'S GONE
Timing is a bit weird but parting ways is never straight forward I suppose.
It had been coming for weeks if not a few months.
He did a great job under unbelievably difficult circumstances last season and just about got us over the line the previous season.
There are huge holes in his approach to the game and his inflexibility to change was his downfall in the end.
At least it gives the next manager time to turn this around with half the season to go.

Re: Dyche - HE'S GONE
it certainly wasn’t the easiest time to be an Everton manager with he points deductions and ffp issues but it’s hard to say he’s done anything at all well to be fair. can’t feel badly for him at all
Re: Dyche - HE'S GONE
He did a good job for a bit then absolutely fucked it. He's not the worst we have had by any stretch but won't remember him fondly. Something seriously wrong has gone on the last few days.
Whoever comes in has a decent chance of being received positively, does make me worry that it'll be Moyes. He's a good manager but we've been there and I don't think he's right for us, if it happens would love to be wrong

Re: Dyche - HE'S GONE
Seeing David Moyes running out in lycra and a bad perm is not what anyone wants to see.
Well, maybe a couple on here, but still.

Re: Dyche - HE'S GONE
Not sure I can believe this when he was spinning plates last season with a bad squad and points deductions etc and easily kept us up. Now he can't do the job?
Maybe I'm misreading it and the FG wanted to know how he was going to take us to the next step (mid table / top half) and he had no answers?

Bit of a bottle job from the old school man's man.
Basically as soon as he had bosses overseeing him, his arse has totally gone.
Swaggering around like he owned the place before the Friedkins came in.

Everton consider bringing back David Moyes after sacking Sean Dyche
Everton announce 53-year-old’s exit hours before tie against Peterborough United in FA Cup, with Leighton Baines and Seamus Coleman taking charge on interim basis
January 9 2025, The Times
Everton are considering a move to bring back David Moyes to replace Sean Dyche, who was sacked after intimating to new owner, The Friedkin Group, he had taken the club as far as he could.
The dismissal of Dyche was confirmed only three hours before Thursday night’s FA Cup third-round tie with Peterborough United.
Leighton Baines, the under-18s head coach, and club captain Seamus Coleman have taken charge of first team affairs on an interim basis, with the process to appoint Dyche’s successor under way.
Moyes left Everton in 2013 to take over at Manchester United and has been out of work since leaving West Ham United at the end of last season.
José Mourinho has already been ruled out as a potential candidate, having been sacked by TFG during his time at Roma.
It is understood that the US owners, who bought Everton just before Christmas, felt that Dyche had “given up” following talks with the 53-year-old.
They believed they had supported Dyche since buying out former owner Farhad Moshiri, but detected a change in his attitude over the last four games, with draws against Chelsea and Manchester City followed by defeats by Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth.
TFG took Dyche’s stance as tantamount to him resigning. However, he took issue with that.
The past few days have resulted in protracted negotiations between TFG and Dyche and his representatives over a compensation package.
A settlement has been reached, but TFG did not want to pay Dyche the last six months of his contract and bonuses, up in full because they felt his attitude towards the job accelerated the need for change. TFG are anxious not to be portrayed as a soft touch.
Coaching staff Ian Woan, Steve Stone, Mark Howard and Billy Mercer have also left the club.
Everton are 16th in the Premier League and one point above the relegation zone. Remaining in the top flight is the priority for the rest of the season ahead of a move to a new stadium at Bramley-Moor dock in the summer, but performances have dipped, with Everton managing just five goals in their last ten league games.
TFG hope to name Dyche’s replacement imminently and sources have distanced themselves from previous interest in Graham Potter, who was appointed as West Ham United manager on Thursday morning.

Re: Dyche - HE'S GONE
Sounds like the concerns some fans had that TFG weren't doing anything behind the scenes was utterly wide of the mark.

Re: Dyche - HE'S GONE
Dan Friedkin - “So Sean, things are looking pretty grim, what do you have to say about it ?”
Dyche - “you don’t understand, if we’d won a few more games things would be looking much better”
Friedkin “get the fuck out and don’t let the door slam on yer arse”
