Really a big shame for a player to keep on getting injuries as he has.

I expect if it's as bad as it looks he'll go back to Chelsea for continuing treatment. Even if it's not I can't imagine we can ever look to rely on him at this point.

Hope he gets a full recovery though.

IIRC when players in the past did their Achilles they were sent home to rest for a few days until the bruising and inflammation subsides, and only then go to the hospital for surgery.

I thought that. From the replay it looked to me like his knee had twisted, but he was holding his leg much lower. Didn’t look like the ankle turned too much, so that’s why I thought maybe Achilles?

Either way, player reaction looked bad. Such a shame for him and for us. Is Beto our only fit striker now? Who have we got in the youth team?

This needs sorting out asap, it's brutal but he needs to go back to Chelsea if it's anything other than a minor injury.

My lad showed a me a video of it on the way back from the match and he landed and jarred his leg, think it may be ACL. But who knows
