One of the killers is the full backs when ndayie gets the ball myko never overlaps so he has to beat 2/3 defenders to get a shot/cross away only Mangala was looking for a forward pass last night the players need to be more confident and progressive with the ball and not just the safe option of back to Pickford to smash it

Going from Kudus, Paqueta and Bowen to Harrison, Calvert-Lewin and Doucoure is quite devastating for anyone to take.

You could see they were petrified when they had the ball in their own half.

Some very sloppy passes and poor performances out there tonight but it does feel like dyche has sucked all the confidence out of the playing squad and it will take a long time to get it back.

I’m not sure moyes digging the players out like he did will work. We’ve had that all season and it didn’t get a reaction.

They need some sort of positive communication imo.

They’re good players. Premier league players are not as bad on the ball as these lads have showed this season.
Totally agree. Confidence. Game plan. Tactics. Link-ups. All of these things are so important to make a player perform. In the end they are all pretty good footballers - some better than others of course.

We’ll see where these players end up next season.

Lots of work to be done but we knew that.

Thankfully, we have another 18 games to extract some wins, so plenty of time. And we have January which we really need to get some recruits in.

How we could do with a Super Kev right now.

I'll be honest, I'm on the floor. I think we're cooked and I think dyche knew it.

We need to spend asap and I don't think the money is there to do it.

Why don't you think the money is there?

All the chat from official stuff says we have the money?

Just getting the right person in.

We will be fine.

Because I think if the money was there we'd go and get a £12m LB, a £15m CM, a £40m striker and say here we are, we'll be sound. 2-3 players revolutionises the side.

But we're linked to so far nobody, or tom cannon who we have a buy back for.

Plus despite us being inside PSR, people (Moyes, ornstein) keep repeating that we have to be careful.

The owners have all the money in the world, the club doesn't, and psr wise is clearly still right on the brink, despite having the summer to correct things and Branthwaite to sell.

The rate player's passing abilities game:

Tarks - 5
Branthwaite - 6
Mykolenko - 5
Young - 5
Gana - 6
Mangala - 7
Doucoure - Lol / 3
Ndaiye - 6
Harrison - 5
DCL - 5

Subs:
Lindstrom - 7
Beto - 2
O'Brien - no idea, 5 maybe?

That's the players that played yesterday and I've probably been generous with some... and that's what Moyes is up against if he's asking them to play better football.

We 100% need to play better football but unless we get some bodies in it's going to take some miracle work on the training ground to achieve it.

Think we'll get 2/3 in, and be absolutely fine.

Wasn't expecting too much from last night, and it was actually a bit better than I thought it would be. Tough run of games for Moyes to start with. February should be noticeably better from a points POV.

@brap2 you've said we're getting relegated multiple times every year for at least the past 3 seasons. You do tend towards reactionary catastrophising at times.

You are saying these concerns are not valid?

Thank you for the feedback anyway, huge help.

I'm saying you have already acknowledged Villa are much better, and you pointed out that we had our highest xg since November in a game he had 2 days to prepare for against a team 5th in the CL table. We missed a late sitter, and 100% should've had a penalty.

I'm not saying your concerns aren't valid. I'm saying there's a wild fluctuation between the logical, balanced things you said above, and ''I think we're cooked and I think Dyche knew it'' less than 24 hours later. It is unreasonable to point that out?

Liked the little change to go three at the back.

Didn’t know moyes had that in him.

Might see more of that I think. Also happy he gave obrien those minutes and not Michael Keane.
