January transfer window
Re: January transfer window
Definitely need a CM even with Garner coming back.
Even if Mangala’s injury is short-term, we can’t be one injury or suspension away from Doucoure playing deeper. He is a ball-losing machine.
Will likely need a CF as well depending on how long Chermiti is out (I’m just assuming DCL’s injury is bad, I don’t see how it couldn’t be). We do not have another credible option and Beto can’t play 90 minutes at any sort of intensity.

Re: January transfer window
Striker all of a sudden has become important if Calvert Lewin is done for a few months, a versatile midfielder would be ideal right now although I am a bit sick of us not being able to buy specialists because the squad is weak.
Re: January transfer window
I know everyone is talking about left back but we can stave off from that for now until the summer at least.
Striker now for me and a RW.
A competent CM to replace Doucourè would be a bonus.

Re: January transfer window
Think if we've decided we can't play without what doucoure does well then a doucoure who can actually play a little bit would be massive for us. Think that's most vital if possible
Re: January transfer window
I doubt Chelsea budge but swapping Broja for Dewsbury-Hall would be terrific.

Re: January transfer window
It probably serves them no favours to keep the likes of Dewsbury-Hall sat on the sidelines deprecating in value.
I think likely both sides are just trying to get the maximum they can out of the Broja situation (they clearly want to get their full fee and we're likely trying to talk them down on it) but I think we'll reach a deal on that. Maybe they drop their price a little but just tack on more fees for whoever else they loan.
We'll see though. They kinda have us over a barrel really if we're serious about getting another loan in from the PL so I'd not be surprised we just have to suck it up and pay the full fee.
Re: January transfer window
Still need an LB, Mykolenko is still crap going forward despite an upturn in his performances since Moyes came in... and he's an injury away from Young being back in which we've all seen only worked under Dyche because of how protected he was, as soon as Moyes played him he was badly exposed and a liability.
Striker and LB are what we need imo, we can make do with what we've got elsewhere.

Re: January transfer window
Moyes said in his presser he'd be interested in a Lb but it didn't sound like it would be this Jan. Will be attackers and maybe a CM.

Yeah, I think injuries force our hand here a bit.
It's maybe not ideal but we do have some cover for LB. We've literally just got Beto up front now and that's usually an expensive position to fill.

Re: January transfer window
If we're having to pay his wages anyway, just cancel the loan and pay them to Chelsea on top of the loan fee for another attacking option for the rest of the season.
They have all the power here. So just accept our bad luck with the injury (as likely as it always was) and moved on
