Re: January transfer window
Only seen him a couple of times for Rangers but he's looked decent. Half my family are big Rangers fans and they all love him, it's still whether he can make the step up in level though.
Think he's on a 5 year deal so would take a bit of money to get him but Rangers finances are in tatters again so they also need the money.

It feels like even if we signed him and he was starting every week we'd still get linked with a move for him every transfer window.

In total I think jelevic scored a total of 48 goals from 49 touchesCozzie wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2025 9:56 am Those initial first 6 months where brilliant to be fair.
He had some crazy record carried over from Rangers to us where his last 27 or 28 goals or something came from just one touch.
I was never impressed with his over all play during this spell but it never really bothered me as I seen him as what he was, the ultimate fox in the box striker.
Think during his latter spell he just massively lost his confidence as the style of football also changed post moyes.
Can't remember exactly what we paid for him but think we got decent value that first 6 months, the ball just had to go near him in the box and he would score.

Re: January transfer window
Grim how little concrete rumours are knocking around given our squad position.
I hope the last two wins haven’t made people think that we don’t desperately need squad additions

Re: January transfer window
Definitely was hoping we signed him on a permanent before the injury. Very good quality player. Unfortunately not worth signing in the summer unless the injury is just an MCL or LCL sprain/partial tear.

Think he has been frozen out at Rangers, right?TheRam wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2025 10:24 am https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/hamza-i ... ler/885445
This dude. Would be in to that.
Not sure why but thought I heard that somewhere.

Re: January transfer window
I know everyone thinks he's a bit shit but he was genuinely vital to Newcastle before Tonali came back.
Watched a great analysis on Four Four Two YouTube channel a few months back that really highlighted how good he is without it really being noticed.
If we're looking for a straight replacement for Mangala I doubt there'd be many better who were potentially available.
Re: January transfer window
I love the idea of the Rangers dude but if he where to come in and the rumors of Beto leaving are true we'd need another striker along side him for the now.
Big ask for him to step up and be the main guy.

Other than the seven games he's played in January?American Evertonian wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2025 12:23 pm Think he has been frozen out at Rangers, right?
