Also don't have any idea where to sit, really hoping we get the opportunity to look around in person.
Pretty confident you won't.

I think the plan is to release a better "view from your seat" so you can check out every seat, not just the general area

From the looks of the size of the piece there would be millions of these available, and who is going to pay £70 for a bit of grass which could be from anywhere and will be dead and yellow?
A million pieces, £70 a pop, £70m pure profit in the bank to spend!

What do you mean 990,000 were bought by a mysterious American shell company??

Only 3000 season ticket holders off he waiting list due to the new stadium, apparently. Will leave 10k tickets for general sale. CN see why the club’s done it but couple of mates are fuming as been on the wait list for years and they’d just assumed they’d be getting one at BMD.

It’s a tough one, you should get a season ticket if you been waiting years, but then there’s the likes of me who used to go all the time but can’t get there often now due to moving away, and those who can’t afford to go week in week out.
Is that 10000 general sale all home or including away fans?
Still think we should have gone 60000 capacity.

Same here. Never missed a game but never thought of buying a season ticket... I just went, home and away for decades. Now, I struggle to get SRV

It’s bizarre, 10-12 years ago we were selling “half season tickets” in January, we’ve been shite since then yet there is apparently a 15,000 waiting list ? Doesn’t make sense ?

We’ve massively oversubscribed on season tickets at Goodison.

If there’s 10k on general sale then that’s a good thing.

It’s near on impossible to get a ticket for the match these days so that will make it a lot easier for people.

Also, they’ll want more tickets available for tourists. Just is what it is in that regard.

Exactly this. Like it or not, it's the tourists who rock up and spend an absolute fortune in the club shop pre-match, will pay top dollar for a stadium tour and will spend, spend,.spend on refreshments inside the stadium.

Go stand outside Anfield on a matchday and observe. You can spot the out of towners a mile off. They're loaded with club shop bags full of whatever tat the club has to offer. They will buy everything from a replica kit to LFC branded shit roll. If it's got a.Liver Bird on it, they will buy it. If it's red, they will buy it. If it contains the word Liverpool, they will buy it. The locals will sit in the pub until 20 mins before kick off, then straight into the stadium. They may buy a pie and a pint at half time, but other than that don't really spend a.fucking bean on a matchday inside the stadium footprint.

I know we take the piss out of the gobshites across the park, but that ruthless rinsing of the tourists is what brings in huge revenue.

Yeah, I've said it before but when we did the tour the guy doing it said there's about 30k on the ST waiting list and over 50k Members, so they need to weight all that up, plus there will be a lot of people on the waiting list no longer able to take it up for one reason or another.

It's difficult but they need to cater for travelling fans or fans who can only get to one or two games a season as well as those who can make it to most games, even as members it's difficult to get tickets now and they sell out within an hour and never make it to general sale. Unfortunately that's the PL these days, it's become a brand and people want to see that brand even if they don't support the club.

10k on General sale is a positive development, gives members greater opportunity to buy match ticket as well as tourists.

3,000 new season tickets from an extra 12,000 seats seems poor to me. Considering the max you can have is 80% (*12,000 = 9,600) of a stadium then they've gone very low on it.

Given there are 30,000 people that have been on a waiting list, most of which paying for a membership for multiple years, then moving to a new stadium and only offering 3,000 more season tickets is a kick in the face.

To make money you need to be having a lot of walk ups. Why do you think Liverpool make it so hard to get a season ticket. They want day trippers going the club shop.

They dont want me and you turning up at 5 to three and not spending a penny in the ground.

I know, but that doesn't mean they should get away without criticism for it just because it's the 'norm'.
