It also doesn’t seem to really sell it very well. For £600+ you would expect some serious sales patter, trying to over-egg what you get in return.

Maybe they are just banking on the first season at BMD being a sell out and so overpricing because of this.
I think first season there will be a lot of football people wanting to come - pundits, ex-players, media, journalists, other club execs and people wanting to learn from what we’ve done. This will be an acceptable price for them or even expensed to their clubs or companies.

If you are an American or Middle Eastern supporter flying over for your once in a lifetime or once in a season experience you will happily pay that for a guaranteed seat in comfort.

Had a look at the corporate prices for the new stadium from a link on the website

Cheapest opponent is Burnley. £399 for the Village street one which is a padded seat, food token for a street food outlet in the village street, match programme, complimentary drinks at half time

The most expensive one is the tunnel club one which is £875 and is a padded seat behind the dugout, 3 course meal, and complimentary drinks throughout

For the Derby that jumps to £699 for village street and £1450 for tunnel club, there are various packages inbetween those prices as well

Feel like the success of these is gonna massively depend on us improving on the pitch

I guess a big reason for moving to the new stadium is to try and increase revenue and these VIP/Corporate style packages are a big part of this

I wonder how many fans fly over from other countries for our games - obvs have seen lots of the good folk from abroad on this site arrange trips over. Tickets are super hard to get now for a lot of us, this looks like one way of securing a very expensive ticket to the match!

I’m always surprised at the number of Americans that I see on the train up from Euston for the match, sometimes it’s just the match but often they are up for tge match and Beatles experience. Sometimes families that have paid hundreds of pounds on secondary ticket sites for shit seats, the packages will do well I’m sure.

For us earlier this year it worked out to be about £1750 p/p for Goodison ticket (in the Main Stand) & Accommodation package, Stadium tour, and airfares.

Not including food, transport, merch etc.

Not a cheap deal by any means, but we also had a good look around afterwards. We were lucky with tickets secured months in advance.

I know it's the way of the world and there are plenty of them out there and I know it's a business etc etc but anyone who wants to pay £1450 for one game of football (padded seat or not) is a dickhead.
In a world full of adversity, we must still dare to dream.

For the derby, seat unique enclosure experience - £4k a ticket and you have to buy 4 tickets.

Will be super interesting to see how well these sell. Seems seriously expensive to me, however I really have no idea. I am sure it is based off of lots of data that they have but the pricing does seem to be very discriminatory.

As others have said, it’s not likely aimed at the ordinary fan, and more for corporate/tourists.

That said, would I like to experience the hospitality for a special occasion - your damn right!

It feels like ordinary fans will mean less over time. Letting richer people buy tickets who may have never been to a game, stood in the rain, travelled miles on shit trains etc, reminds me of the prawn sandwich argument Roy Keane had. Do they deserve a ticket over life long fans? Not in my opinion, but I'm an ordinary fan, so who gives a flying

I guess without a +, it's looking unlikely you'll be getting a ticket for Brighton

I suppose at least you can select 2 stands. Also not as much of an issue as it would have been at GP!

Having said that. Not sure why they couldn't just open a window to people who have been successful to pick their seats.

I might give the Brighton game a miss and see how all the parking etc works out with a view to giving the Villa game a go.
