Andre Gomes
Re: Andre Gomes
He's an actual footballer and we don't have any but he would never accept the reasonable wage I would want to see him on. He's not a player we can keep around, we know what his strengths and weaknesses are and they are outweighed by the cost.
Re: Andre Gomes
Seemed like he floated around in a free role, collecting from the centre backs but also involved with midfield and Dom early on. Someone who gave the opposition something to think about at least, and like Beto and Gana, had a point of difference and impact. (excl set pieces of course, but then again, has he not scored our only free kick since Digne?)

Re: Andre Gomes
Absolutely love Andre.
Promised so much but as Gash said he never quite hit the heights. Seems like a genuinely lovely guy and hope for the best for him.

Re: Andre Gomes
Aw that was nice, hope he can go stroll around Italy for a few years pinging 40 yarders

Re: Andre Gomes
Nice guy, brilliant technician, but kind of a brain-dead footballer overall.
Was a bright spark for a few games of his loan, then the opposition realized that if you don’t press him, he doesn’t really do anything with the ball besides spray it wide to the fullbacks. We stupidly paid for the player he was for a few games before the league figured him out.
Huge waste of money. Wish him the best but still annoyed with the club for making the deal permanent.

How great was it for those few games though? Seeing somebody actually and genuinely press resistant who could progress the ball forward?kramer wrote: ↑Fri Jun 07, 2024 9:47 pm Nice guy, brilliant technician, but kind of a brain-dead footballer overall.

Re: Andre Gomes
Proper way to say goodbye that.
That injury stopped him reaching full potential with us I reckon.

Re: Andre Gomes
My god he's beautiful.
Remember those loan days of free hugs and being a lovely human? Good times. Such a shame that he isn't at all suited to English football and that we didn't see that as a club and made him a multi millionaire instead.
Ah well, good luck Andre x
