The 5:0 against United. Probably the best I've seen us play or at least up there. They couldn't handle us.

I think when I look back at it later then the Leicester game a couple of weeks ago will be one for me. There with both my kids and it was my daughter's first game, and she gets to see fastest goal in Everton and Goodison Park history 10 seconds in to her first experience of it all.

Re: Great Goodison moments.
Just booked a stadium tour for me, my sister, better half and the girls.
Missus will probably have to drive back as the rest of us will be in floods of tears. Mainly me in fairness.
Me and my sister haven't lived in the same house for 20+ years and live about 35 miles apart now so we don't just drop in and meeting up for trips up to Goodison have been one of our more regular reasons for seeing eachother. So many superstitions, routines, memories (some probably exaggerated by nostalgia).
My littlest one made her debut for the women's derby and did the Peterborough game too. Her absolutely adoring the place in some ways made it worse. God knows how some of you with decades of being season ticket holders at the place will cope.
This'll be another day that ends up being turned into a hardback photo album*
*Little un asked her reception teacher if she could possibly lock the one from the Peterborough game in her desk drawer when she took it in for show and tell.
**Probably my fault for telling her not to lose it. I didn't think she took that much notice of me!

In a world full of adversity, we must still dare to dream.
Re: Great Goodison moments.
Nice touch with the Goodison giants thing at half time.
Should have been much more of that this season.

Re: Great Goodison moments.
I'd like them to do something specific for the last home game.
Weather or not its a physical ticket or having us play in an old school retro kit or whatever.
I get the game is to be taken seriously but I hope they have something lined up.

Re: Great Goodison moments.
At the risk of jinxing, it might end up being the ideal fixture to just make a spectacle of the occasion and pay tribute to 133 years of history. It looks increasingly likely neither us (barring a complete fall off a cliff) or Soton (barring an even more unlikely surge) will have anything to play for and so it might be that the game, while obviously trying to win can take a bit of a backseat.

I'm guessing it will be a carnival/party style atmosphere anyway as it stands. Just hope the grand old lady gets the send off it deserves.CannockPricey wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2025 6:08 pm At the risk of jinxing, it might end up being the ideal fixture to just make a spectacle of the occasion and pay tribute to 133 years of history. Hopefully we do it like Arsenal did, with a touch of class and a thumping win.
And not like Spurs, who handed out a load of flags, did some ticker tape, and signed off with a song from the bloke off the Go Compare advert.
And not like West Ham, whose fans celebrated by smashing up the Man Utd bus.
