Re: Man Utd - relegation?
“There are a few factors at play. As Ratcliffe outlined in March, they owe £272m in outstanding transfer fees, a significant percentage of which - £156m - is due this summer”
Seems they’ve spent their summer budget already…

Re: Man Utd - relegation?
Yeah perhaps. And perhaps a bit cheeky from me there. But not many turn around broken or fallen giants, or create them, in under 2 years, even with significant backing.
That's why the constant churn of managers in the league should end, given we'd not have seen the likes of the reason United became a force in the first place, the most revered manager of the modern game. Ferguson was 2½ seasons in before he bottomed out and started to move the needle positive, he'd otherwise have been a footnote.

Re: Man Utd - relegation?
they cant even pick a cup up now - the whole scenario at manu reminds me of 1973/4 when it all started to fall apart and they got relegatedweimaranerblues wrote: ↑Thu May 22, 2025 6:43 pm They'll never be dominant again for the foreseeable. They'll still pick up the odd cup win but I can't see them getting relegated.
they are going to struggle big time now as they have lost that european income from the CL
big summer for manu this and i can only see things getting worse for manu
Re: Man Utd - relegation?
I wonder what their wage bill is Vs income,. surely they were close to the threshold just being in the Europa league, now with no European competition at all they'll need to shift some high earners off the books, although even then they'll end up paying at least 50% of their wages.
Re: Man Utd - relegation?
There is not a chance in hell that 'adjustments' won't be made to allow Man United to spend more money without consequence.

Re: Man Utd - relegation?
Their imagination for cost cutting seems to begin and end with firing people who probably account for about 0.05% of their budget. All while probably getting ready to sign a handful of new players who'll likely be on more in a week than most of the staff make in an year.
What a bunch of arseholes.
Re: Man Utd - relegation?
It's such a bad look and sums up how much football is out of touch with reality. Players hardly playing and on 10s and 100s of thousands a week while people probably on minimum or living wage are losing their jobs. But they're expensive assets so you can't just make them redundant.

Re: Man Utd - relegation?
Runner-up: €4,600,000 that doesn't include the rest of the tournament, but you don't get the million's and millions playing in this . But yeah the clause thats all on UTD agreeing to it.
