Pre season friendliest confirmed
Re: Pre season friendliest confirmed
I am surprised Gibson is in a state where he can even play these legends matches. Good player but definitely had him down as weighing 30 stone post-retirement.

What? No Totti, de Rossi, Batistuta?
Not even Dacourt or Stekelenburg for a bit of 45mins for each side?
Poor form

Are Everton TV showing the Roma game? Tempted to fork out given the stadium factor.
Re: Pre season friendliest confirmed
I had done a little digging about his post-retirement life recently.
Sounds like he had a long-running sleeping pill addiction similar to Dele which developed after his knee injury in 2013. Had a bad seizure and had to come clean to his doctors and family about the addiction. Seems to have kicked it and is doing much better now.
It’s a shame we were robbed of his prime. Superb player, I don’t think the general football-watching public understands what an excellent deep lying playmaker he was when he was fit.

Obligatory Everton TV warning - the stream often fails. (I think thats about as politically correct as I can be with this one).

Is that Euro car park on Walter Street by the Titanic going to be usable tomorrow does anyone know? I know it will get rammed quickly but just want to know if its an option.
Re: Pre season friendliest confirmed
It'll be an option, it's built for matchday and concert use but I would think you'll need to be there at least 3 hours before kick off to get in.Audrey Horne wrote: ↑Fri Aug 08, 2025 5:54 pm Is that Euro car park on Walter Street by the Titanic going to be usable tomorrow does anyone know?
