I do think it would be great if we had the money for someone like Wan Bissaka to turn our first choice backline into a complete defensive powerhouse.

Add in a forward who can win headers and hold the ball up a bit and that’s a recipe for a comfortable midtable finish, midfield or not.
As much as I get someone like AWB shout, I just don't want to see him and Mykolenko be our full backs under Dyche for the next 5 years and if we parted with Dyche at any point then that would likely be a massive issue for whoever came in.

Maybe we just need to join the Pulis/Guardiola/Arteta train and get centre backs for those positions…

Bizzare post this mate. Seems perfectly reasonable to me that we might be working on deals knowing we need other dominos to fall further down the line in order to put pen to paper.

I don't think TT are generally seen as negative rumour spreaders are they? Nor do I think really that we're skint is news to anyone?
Yea look I'm probably being a bit touchy because every time I come on here it's just negativity.

We agreed a deal but it fell through, we have the worst social media team to have ever existed, we hate our own players, we'll never play in our new stadium... it's pretty tiresome.

I probably jumped on this one out of frustration.

I don't think a free transfer would be scuppered by not having minimal finances 'to pull the trigger' but agree to disagree. And I definitely don't think we were/are structuring deals based on future potential ownership. That's insane.

We did it for a game last season and he looked comfortable there. I'm obviously not advocating for it long term, just in an emergency m

Keep on reading about 3 at the back, and I wonder if he’d try it.

I do realise that the second team looks like one of the worst sides the premier league has ever seen.

Pickford
O’Brien Tarkowski Branthwaite
Harrison Gana Doucouré McNeil
Ndiaye Lindstrom
DCL

Virginia
Coleman Keane Mykolenko
Patterson Garner Iroegbunam Young
Chermiti Maupay

The midfield would get murdered with Harrison and McNeil as wingbacks, and Doucoure next to Gana.

Take Doucoure and Harrison out and replace with Patterson and Garner and it works a lot better imo.

But yeah back 3 is possible but he won't play it regularly as it means you either need to change the system or play Keane if one player is out injured. Two at the back means there's always one player before Keane should shy changes need to be made.

Even before they were linked with him I would have called him a likely Spurs or Villa signing

He'd be great like but with the other clubs interested I doubt it.
